I ordered the Hot Rod and it was cooked perfectly. Toasted buns, crispy bacon (not thin slices), and the meat was seasoned good. Perfect little hole in the wall place to stop in if you're not a local just passing through.
I’ve been all over Wichita, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City Can I have to say out of all the restaurants I’ve tried, this one is definitely in my top 10. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the staff is extremely friendly. I absolutely love coming here when I get a chance and I can’t get enough of it. I think that the Catfish is some of the best in the area, and if they do an all you can eat catfish (idk if they do) it’s gonna be my new fish spot. I’ve had a few different chicken items on the menu, and from what I’ve had, it’s awesome. The chicken is hand breaded and seem to be pan fried, with great flavor and texture. Both the chicken strips and chicken fried chicken are safe bets here. Both the white and the brown gravy are awesome, I do something a little different and get a full on my chicken fried chicken and love it. I’d also like to point out that the cheesy garlic mashed potatoes are very unique and worth getting. I usually pair everything up with the tea because their sweet tea mixture has always been spot on. I’ve had a few of their desserts, the fried pies are incredible. The cheesecake is a very generous size, it also has the perfect cheesecake taste and consistency. The something sweeter definitely is something you have to try. I definitely get that and take a cheesecake to go no doubt. And like I said, the staff here is incredible. They’re so friendly and are always very on the ball with their service. It’s a very personable experience and one reason I keep coming back. This is truly a gem of a restaurant in the area, and I highly recommend it to everybody passing through.
I'm always pleased with the customer service and the atmosphere of this place. Five stars across the board.
If y'all want some down home cooking & plenty of it. Now this is the place. The staff is friendly and they are always checking on you, it's clean, it's quick & fresh. Their dessert and ice cream is something special too. Homemade fried pies. Prices are fair. If you haven't been, you must.
Traveled through Stilwell with a buddy of mine and stopped by this spot. I was very pleased with the service and the at home feel of the place. Restraunt was clean and the kitchen area from what I could see was organized and clean as well. If I ever come through again I will definetly eat here again.
I was here from out of town, and was curious what's good. I had the fried mushrooms, the chicken fried steak (without gravy due to my being unable to have too much dairy), and tater tots and fried okra as sides. All were delicious and steaming hot. I have had fried mushrooms at different places, but the ones here have a little something different about the batter than I am used to for that kind of dish. (In a good way!) The exterior was crisp and crunchy, and I think a little sweeter than I usually see these. The chicken fried steak was excellent, and the fried okra was perfect. The tater tots were satisfactory; it's not something I usually get, but I would not mind doing so again. The service was pretty good. I was checked on by three different people, and food was ready in a reasonable timeframe. If decor is something that matters to you, then I'd say this place is absolutely nailing the standard Southern diner aesthetic. If someone from outside the USA were to eat here, I would hold this place up as a paragon of small town diners and say that *this* is the small town American experience they are looking for. That said, the owners might consider a little touch up paint on the Ten Commandments sign out front. The rooster statue is perfect and precious, though.
Absolutely best restaurant i’ve been to in a while. They hav an amazing food truck at the powows as well. service was excellent and i got my food within 10 minutes of being there. the crispy chicken salad looks gourmet and the taste reflects the presentation. If you get a fried pie, add icecream for the best of both worlds. 10/10
Great burgers and catfish. The menu is full of good options. Prices are great and the staff is friendly.
