Final Approach

Supper Club-ish restaurant near Mitchell International Airport. We've always had great food, conversations and meeting friendly people each time dining here. The prime rib is fantastic, the sandwiches good, like the reuben. Great appetizers, especially the corn dip. There's and all you can eat shrimp Sunday where you can have it breaded, peel away or coconut style. There's live music on weekends. It has an interesting garage door in the middle of the dining area and has an obvious aviation theme.

I was in town for a few days and stopped in for dinner. The chicken parmesan was terrific—so much so that even after eating about a quarter of it, the leftovers still wouldn’t fit in the to-go container. The service was outstanding, and Kanisha was an excellent bartender. A couple of nights later, I came back and tried the meatloaf. It was just as impressive—excellent flavor and another generous portion. Doug did a fantastic job behind the bar that evening. It was nice to feel so welcome while away from home. Great food, great service, and great people. Come hungry, because the portions will not disappoint!

This is my first time back to the Final Approach in 15+ years… not sure why I stopped going except I thought it was more of a bar with basic pub food. But this is more of a full restaurant…. with a great selection of dishes, including my favorite restaurant meal… Meatloaf. I ordered the meatloaf and it was absolutely delicious. This is the first time I ever had meatloaf for the barbecue sauce and that was really really good. The service was great, our server was very attentive. You’ll be glad you checked this place out.

The French Onion soup was one of the best ever. A must for any visitor. This family owned restaurant prepares everything right there, the home cooked dishes are perfectly made with fresh ingredients and flavor. The service was excellent. The home made carrot cake and cheese cake were the desert highlight of our outstanding lunch. Also have to mention the loaded Bloody Mary, with shrimp, celery and other assorted veggie compliments. Nice atmosphere. Dont miss this place. Really excellent all around. Excellent value for the price.

I enjoyed the dinner and this establishment. The people who greeted and assisted us were friendly, gracious and attentive. They helped create a comfortable and casual atmosphere. The food was prepared well and presented attractively. The prime rib i ordered was tender, juicy and without too much chewy fat on the edges. It could have been enough for 2 meals but I was hungry that night. Noise level was low allowing conversation without being loud. I reccomend Final Approach and anticipate returning in the future.

A great sports bar atmosphere. The fish fry was piping hot and delicious! A worthy stop and I’m glad I went. Made me feel like I saw a little of Wisconsin although I could not go far from my hotel.

Our go to place for Friday fish fry. Servers are friendly and place is always busy. Beer battered cod is served with cole slaw and fries. AYCE option is available but normal serving is 3 nice portions of cod and is plenty for us hearty eaters.

I haven’t been to Final Approach in many many many years. So going was a delight! It still has the same neighborhood restaurant feel. The service was phenomenal. The food was good. We had the French onion soup, Cobb salad and steak salad. The soup was soooo fulfilling that I almost couldn’t finish my salad. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. I was so surprised at the continuous flow of customers. Keep up the great work!
