Great Place to Eat….Friendly Staff and Friendly Owner….Great Food…Beats The Big Name Restaurants in My’ Area Hands Down..
Great family restaurant with many daily specials and family favorites. Breakfast all day. Has counter for solo eating. Wait staff was friendly and attentive to us.
What I love about this place is that the staff and the quality of food never changes. I have been taking my parents here for years but recently, for various other reasons, we haven't visited as frequently. It was really nice to see that the staff was the same and the quality of the food was as good as ever. We frequented this restaurant both before and after covid, and it was amazing that the quality of food was never sacrificed in this day of increasing food prices. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about many of the chain restaurants in this area. Keep up the good work.
The food was great! The food was nice and hot when it came out. The the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We are traveling and will come back on our return trip.
We've been to Johnnie many times, usually the food is great. Today we went there just to have salad, the last time I visited, 2 weeks ago, the chefs salad was great, fresh veggies, with House Dressing. Today we got 2 chef salads and 1 Greek. We were really disappointed when they arrived at our table. The greens weren't crispy, and the tomatoes were meh Not a great lunch, after having wonderful salads 2 weeks ago.
Food was great service was fast incompetent but the booths were a little crowded.
I'm incredibly embarrassed to say I've lived near Chambersburg for over twenty years and this place has escaped my attention. It must be the grungy location. Our server was an absolute sweetheart and was exactly what I wanted in an old school small restaurant. My omelette was incredible and I'll be back for that breakfast! Yum. I'm still excited about it a week later! The home fries were crispy and amazing, EXACTLY how I like them. The place could use a little upgrading. The prices were reasonable in today's steeply climbing financial climate.
On a hot night I didn’t want to cook, so I picked up takeout for the house- prompt service, the order was correct, reasonably priced diner style food. The one eating dinner was pleased. Easy access on lower Main Street, sufficient parking.
