This place is fantastic! The food was not a hour wait and came really fast. The presentation was overall really neat! And delicious at that! The view was great too because of the large windows. This was a great spot to eat and my family and I are probably going to come back the next time we come to Denali! :)

Really nice atmosphere especially with the live music (singer and guitarist). The food was pretty good and they have a full bar. Located on the hotel property.

For a nice lodge type restaurant. The food was good and fresh. Great place to grab breakfast before a long day. The server was friendly. All the servers up this facility are generally foreigners who come in for the season because it’s so remote. And General, the servers are really friendly and very accommodating. We got here early and we seated immediately. By the time we left, there was a waiting list so get there early.

Karstens Public House was an experience worth coming back for. Dined in for dinner with a big party and we're seated with amazing service from Brice definitely 5/5. Great atmosphere and vibes around the restaurant. Started off with the shrimp plate appetizer which I didn't care for, shrimp was really blan and the sauce wasn't too good 1.5/5. Shared a couple of the chicken tenders appetizer and loved it, great breading and honey mustard 4.5/5. Enjoyed a brisket sandwich for my entrée and thought it was amazing 4.5/5. The stroop waffle cheesecake was phenomenal one of the best desserts I've ever had 5/5. Pretty sweet place in a nice location would definitely return.

On the property next to the Chalet. Large indoor seating and spacious outdoor seating with entertainment stage. Food was good, but the drinks are weak. I tried a Sangria. The taste was a lame lemonade with bitters. I switched to vodka/orange juice (Tito’s). Still waiting for the Vodka. Fish and chips had very large portions of Cod with those Alaskan favorite fries. The onion rings are absolutely delicious. Very lightly breaded and thick. I enjoyed my meal along with listening to live music mix. I would happily return, minus the “alcoholic” drinks. Water is cheaper.

We went to Karstens as a party of 12. Due to our large size we weren’t able to be seated all together, two seats of six. The table I sat at order two starters, shrimp and tenders. The shrimp wasn’t seasoned and needed some garlic. The spicy sauce wasn’t great, but the cocktail sauce was good. Don’t hate on this I’m not a big fish guy. 1.5/5 stars. The tenders were superb!! The taste was great and very tendered, flavor packed a punch and was great honey mustard. 4.5/5 stars. After, the starters I had grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was grilled well and the cheese tasted really good. The Caesar salad was also very tasty. No complaints. 4.5/5 stars. Lastly, the dessert the Waffel cheesecake was super delicious. One of the best I had. 5/5 stars. Our server Brice, was very friendly and helpful. He definitely gets a 5/5. I would recommend this very much.

A lovely evening was spent by my hubby and friends when we dined at the Public House restaurant in Denali. Each one of us had a wonderful meal. And even shared bites. The salmon over potato compote was exceptional. The blue cheese dressing on my salad tasted home made and not from an industrial container. The fish and chips were light and not greasy. The appetizer of the spinach and seafood dip with chips was extra yummy! Best of all- the banana pudding! Enough for two or more to share. We ate outside and listened to live music- a nice addition. Lastly, Sendyss was super helpful and professional as our waitstaff. Thoroughly enjoyed talking to her! We also loved the log wall inside. Super fun decor!

We spent a lot of time at Karsens during our 2 night Denali stay. (Don't get me wrong...we spent a lot a lot of time exploring Denali...but we kept returning to Karstens as a base to fuel up and hang out at later at night.) It's a comfortable, well-designed modern space with loads of seating inside, on the patio outside, and at the bar (where we sat each time we were there.) We were there for lunch once, and evening drinks twice....the bartenders both times were VERY friendly and attentive. (And in the case of Drew, super fun.) There are a handful of vegetarian options including the aptly named "Veggie Sandwich" - I tend to shy away from vegetarian options simply named "Veggie" in the menu as that feels a bit "token" but this actually looked and tasted great!) Also available are a Brussels Sprouts Share plate, grilled cheese, tomato soup, and a couple of vegetarian-able pastas for dinner. We also at one point had their delicious and savory Jalapeño Corn Bread served with honey butter. Yum. We tried two cocktails - the Whiskey Honey Sour which was good, and the Lavender Fields Forever Cocktail which was really really good. It's especially fun there at night...the bartenders are a little more saucy and the crowds bring a nice energy around the bar. You can also have your food and drink served outside on the patio so you can take in the folk duos music every night. I really liked it here!
