First time visit & it Won’t be my last. I ordered one pannycake, since it was big, crispy, double order of bacon crispy & and glass of milk. They Understood The Assignment! It Was Gooooooodt!!! And They Gave Me A Military Discount! Nice time, I will order 2 pannycakes After that, lunch is next Tried the double cheeseburger basket. If you love cheeseburgers like I do, COME HERE!!! Huge Tasty Bangin Burgers With Freddie Fries! My Son & I Enjoyed Them! They Were Goooooodt!!!

Ate breakfast for the first time with a friend who is a regular. Can deffinitley say they have made another "regular". Food was fantastic, service was on point and price was exceptionally reasonable. All around a great breakfast, will be checking out the lunch very soon!

Been here twice and love the food. My fave is most definitely the chicken zucchini and squash stir Fry!

This was our first time at Sylvia Jo's. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and had a variety meats and vegetables.

^^^As to your comment, Mr Daniel Kreshak when you came in with your friend you were told about how we do things at our restaurant and actually I told you both that our sampler special was for “ anything you would like that will fit on your plate one time through”. That is not very hard to comprehend. If you could come back through it would be a buffet, not a bar! And I asked how you enjoyed the food so not sure why your review was low! I also took care of the cake myself….the other gentleman did not pay extra! I did! I am very sorry you feel the way you do but our family restaurant is well spoken of by all who come there. Your 1/5 review for service is truly your opinion. Our waitresses go above and beyond as you can read in the other reviews! If you are ever back in Sumter and would like a great home cooked meal we will be glad to serve you but just remember “ anything that fits on your plate in ONE visit! Thanks for your review!

Food was absolutely delicious... especially the Mac and cheese... they let us have the night there with friends and family for a special function dinner....

It was my first time. The food, was delicious I had collard greens,yams, cabbage, fried chicken and bake, biscuit, rice.

Wonderful customer service from Tammy and Renee and amazingly delicious food for a great price.

I've tried several different items and haven't been disappointed with anything I've tried. The ribs are probably my favorite and they just fall off the bone. The burgers are awesome as well and I love those home fries. I've always gotten great service while eating lunch and I've even reunited with some old friends. Great food and good people.

The cheeseburger was amazing as always, but the fries had obviously been made in oil that was not up to temperature. The lady at the register was very sympathetic and surprised and took care of the undercooked fries issue. I will definitely be going back

I came in not soo far away from closing time, so I knew there probably wasn't much to choose from and was fine with that bc thier food is pretty good. A lady named Tamera helped me with my order and was so polite, and gave me better portions then I even expected! They whole staff was attentive, and kind.

Fantastic fried chicken! We enjoyed everything but the yams and fried chicken were our favorites! Friendly staff and nicely decorated restaurant! We will be back!

Fast, friendly Southern charm. It's only open Monday thru Friday from 7am to 2pm closed on the weekends. Prices are affordable and great portions that won't leave you disappointed. I had the pleasure of meeting the Owner and his young Grandson. It was great to see that Grandparents actually take time to be with their Grandchildren and make them part of their Lives. Great man.
