Taste 1864

We celebrated our 7-yr anniversary at this Renault winery Resort and Golf. Our first evening was at the Taste 1864. Our server, Mike C., made us feel at home, giving us history of the place when we asked him questions. We celebrated with their popular Renault Blueberry Champagne. This restaurant has excellent menu selection with French-style cooking. Italian, American and Mediterranean dishes were other choices. The ambiance is beautiful. The Chateau where we stayed is beautiful and modern with beautiful decorative touches. We played 27-holes of golf the next day despite the rains. We would definitely return to this place soon.

First time at Taste. Had a great experience. My husband and I went on Valentine’s Day. Was the best choice in years. Food courses Menu , was extraordinary. We love it everything. Dominic was serving our table , very kind and suggest me a rose wine that I love it ! Definitely will be back.

My wife and I have gone twice now on date night. Great environment, wonderful food and excellent staff both times we’ve gone this last time we had Mike C as our server and it was a delightful experience. My wife and I will definitely be going back again.

Lunch at Taste 1864 was absolutely wonderful. Lillie and the entire team went above and beyond to make our experience feel truly special. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday while also sharing a little Valentine’s Day moment with my sister, and from start to finish, everything felt thoughtful and warm. The Valentine’s wine flight paired with gourmet chocolates completely put our experience over the top. Tasting the different wine profiles, pairing them with the chocolates, and voting on our favorites made it so fun and interactive—such a unique and memorable touch. The atmosphere was cozy, inviting, and exactly what we needed on a cold, windy February day. Between the exceptional service, the creative wine experience, and the genuine care from the team, this was one of those lunches you don’t forget. We can’t wait to come back.

I came here for my birthday and let me tell you between the service & the food it was a great, memorable experience. We started with wine and a charcuterie board. Although, I do wish they added olives, apples and/or nuts to the board aside from the meats, cheeses and crackers. The jam and honey along with the variety of different cheeses such as manchego, brie etc., added a nice touch to the board. For the wines I got the blueberry champagne, the reisling and the sangria. All were very good but the blueberry champagne was phenomenal!!! Then for the entree we got the short beef braised rib it was so tender and juicy. The meat was cooked and seasoned so well. We added the sides truffle mac and cheese and asparagus, and they were both delicious. We added the vanilla cherry cheesecake for the dessert and it was a nice ending. We did not realize this hidden gem was right in our backyard. We will be back!

This was our 1st time here, wasn't sure what to expect. Place was wonderful, exceeded our expectations. Reserved a cabana and fire pit due to unpredictable nj weather. Didn't disappoint. Large enough for our party of 6. Fire pit was cozy. Dominic our waiter was spot on, very attentive, met all our needs. Other staff we encountered were all friendly, helpful. I would order food when you get there. Boozy hot chocolate delicious, adequate drink options, hot drinks. Plenty of things for kids to do. Can't wait to go back next year.

Our first time trying this place having heard many good things about it. It did not disappoint. The drinks were absolutely fantastic and the food was simply delicious. Our server, Jack was just an incredible waiter who took such great care of us! Will most definitely be coming back here

The waiter Mike was so Attentive and kind ! He truly made us feel welcomed and stayed on top of everything ! The food was amazing , by far the best combination of a menu I have ever had . Complements to the chef . I would have never thought of pairing the foods that were served ! Glad I tried new things and extra shout out to the bar tender for toasting marshmallows for me ! Truly great place and I will be returning !
