The Nicholson House Restaurant And Gift Shop

We finally got to try this restaurant today as our monthly family luncheon and it was everything that we were told. Today we tried the country fried steak and the hamburger steak plates. The okra was amazing, perfectly cooked and delicious. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever tasted, they reminded me of wedges due to the size, yet cooked perfectly. The waitress was very pleasant and the atmosphere was that good ole country feeling. Attached is their menu along with what we were served. Definitely recommend and will return.

Food was amazing. The Blueberry cobbler was incredible and the carrots cake was probably the best I've ever had. Service matched the food. ****UPDATED**** 2 for 2 now getting great service and great food!!! It's a little out of the way, but absolutely worth it!

My mom and I stopped by here very hungry after noticing this place along the way while helping a family member move. We weren't presentable in the slightest after all the lifting and sweat, but we were treated very kindly anyway. The waitress (I apologize I don't remember your name at the moment) is very helpful and knowledgable with the menu, customer service and sales. I was very happy and surprised to see vegetarian options. I had a veggie wrap and it tasted as if someone freshly picked it out of a garden. My mom had a buffalo wrap and placed a to go order as well with hamburger steak and I think pork. I know there were lima beans and plenty of sides to choose from as well. I absolutely LOVED the corn nuggets ... Amazing! We also shared a brownie sundae. (We were hungry and hadn't eaten all day. Don't judge. Lol). Anyway, we were all happy and everything was delicious and we all have very different pallets. I was happy to see that there are teas and tea party like options. I will be looking into that for another day. The gift shop is one of the prettiest gift shops I've ever seen. I loved the clothing, accessories, and home decor. The lady that ran the gift shop is very kind as well. The place itself looks very loved and well taken care of and my mom and I felt very comforted and welcomed being there. We will be coming back and bringing others along. Thank you.

A fantastic place to visit. The food is great, the atmosphere inside is beautiful, I can't wait to come back in spring to eat under the Wisteria flowers in full bloom!

A large home converted to a wonderful restaurant. Theme rooms containing three to five tables each. Great food.

Very beautiful place, Victorian house, awesome gift/clothing shop also the food is all freshly made all homemade, Hours do vary,off the beaten path but we'll worth the trip!

Oh my goodness! We found this great country restaurant and gift shop. It has a family atmosphere along with some very friendly staff. This will be our new favorite Saturday hangout!!!

Got the buffalo chicken wrap snd was good...did not like the fries...why restaurants are now using those coated fries... I think they are nasty
