I would encourage you to take the negative reviews with a few grains of salt. Perhaps they weren’t sure what to expect. This place leans heavily on Korean style cakes, which it seems they do well. There doesn’t seem to be a high degree of customisation, but that wasn’t an issue for me. My wife is Japanese, and finds most cakes here to be overly sweet. Her birthday was approaching, and I wanted to get her a cake that she would enjoy. On trips to Don Quijote, I had noted that the cakes here resembled those you might find in Japan, and being a location with a large volume of Japanese traffic, they were likely marketing them to those whose preferences were similar to those of my wife. I approached the counter and was greeted by a very kind lady who said these cakes were not so sweet, like those you would find at a cake shop in Korea. This does not mean they are not sweet, but it is much lighter and less rich than other cakes. I picked up a strawberry mousse cake for my wife, and they put her name on it (which I edited out of the photo for this post). The presentation was very nice, and it came in a good quality box that makes removal and replacement of the cake very easy, as well as a plastic cake knife. The cake itself was wonderful. The mousse is very light and airy, and it is still quite sweet, but not overwhelming, making it very easy to eat too much cake. I will certainly buy more cakes here.

I passed this bakery multiple times already but today I intend to grab some of its goodies. The pastries that I got are all so good. - sweet potato mini cake - cream horn - chocolate cream horn - blueberry turnover - yuzu pie I will definitely come back in here. Their pastries are so perfectly paired with hot teas or coffee. They made it really tasty & will recommend to try them out when you are in Oahu.

My family picked up a snack for me here. Personally its my first time trying this bakery. I didn’t choose it myself, but I ended up with a pizza pastry and a flaky buttery pastry. Im sorry I don’t have the proper names but if i find out i will renew this post. The pizza pastry wasn’t to my liking. I don’t care for the hotdog pieces in there and I wished it was more savory tasting. The flaky buttery triangular shaped pastry (almond cream pastry?) however was very good. Almond slivers on top. Nice buttery slightly sweet taste and had a nice bite factor to it. Soft, flaky with a bit of a chew. I would really like to try a whole lot of other offerings they have as well so stay tuned for more to come!

Found out in the evening that I needed to get a cake for someone’s birthday the next day, and I wanted to do better than a grocery store cake. My usual go-tos were closed by then, but I recalled this Korean bakery at the entrance of Don Quijote stayed open quite late. There were quite a few to choose from, ranging from what looked to be a decadent chocolate cake that could serve 4-6 people, to smaller ones in vanilla and chocolate with colorful fresh fruit garnishing the top. The gentleman who served me was quite friendly and happy to explain the cake and mousse flavors in each - finally settled on this super cute piggy cake primarily for the flavors: red velvet with a strawberry mousse filling and dusted with coconut. He noted that these cakes are not too sweet, per traditional Asian baking styles. After boxing the cake, he also added candles and a plastic cake knife - a really nice touch. I’ll be coming back for future cake needs!

Picked up a birthday cake for my daughter’s 22nd Birthday. It was fantastic! Top tier. They are on the smaller side and not cheap but well worth the quality and artistic value. Also got a croissant (superb!) and hot dog - also very good. 10/10 would recommend!

Got a birthday cake last minute! I was in a pickle and took a gamble! The reviews for this place were terrible and I was anxious to have the cake cut, however, I must say, the reviews were very wrong or I got very lucky! I want to preface my next statement by saying I LOVE, cake. It is my favorite food. I could eat cake breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in turn, I have enjoyed cake as often as I can from all corners available to me… Ahem, this was on of THE BEST CAKES, I have ever had! It was light, not too sweet, moist, and beautifully decorated. I wanted to eat the whole thing to myself once I had my first bite! The Korean lady who people write terrible comments about was warm, kind and extremely helpful. I did not have the same experience as some of the reviewers out there. I will be buying all my cakes from here for all special occasions going forward. Pictured : Mocha Cake

We love their pastry and you never know what you might get. She always have something made fresh that you just have to add. My kids love the The milk bread and I love their yuzu pastry. It’s melt in the mouth good with a light citrus cream.
