South Lyon Village Bakery

I love their long johns. They are the best donuts I've ever had. Some day I'm going to buy 3, eat them all at once, and throw up. That way I'll get to taste them going down and coming up. They're THAT good.

I stopped in on an early Saturday morning when the fresh baked goods were still being placed in the display. Before stepping foot in the South Lyon Village Bakery, I could smell the freshly made donuts from down the street. When I entered, I was promptly greeted and was not ready to place my order as there were so many delicious items to choose from. I got a donut with vanilla glaze and sprinkles, a cinnamon roll, and 2 apple fritters. They were very good! I should not have waited so long to stop in here for my donut needs. I’ll be stopping by the bakery again very soon.

This is probably not the owners fault but it might be something to be addressed by the building owner. I notice that there’s a smell from the tiki bar that permeates into the bakery. Maybe they spray something to create their ambience? Recently when I went in for donuts the donuts really tasted like the smell, too and kind of bummed me out as I couldn’t finish them due to this. It was too strong. Just something to consider as I usually really enjoy their donuts.

We bought paczki's from here today and they were amazing and so was the staff! The line was out the door with good reason. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be coming back to try other treats soon.

Used an app called Too Good To Go and picked up some of the days let over donuts. Great deal and food doesn't have to be wasted

I rarely give 5 stars but I would say they are 4.9 but this bakery is as consistent it gets with their donuts. I’m a regular since I live fairly close by but I showed up on Fat Tuesday of course for some paczkis! I arrived around 830am and there was no line but a few people inside. The paczkis were amazing and filled with filling. All the other donuts especially the apple fitter and the custard are delicious. You can’t go wrong but the one critique I would give about the paczkis are the price. They were kind of expensive. Those 6 were about $16 but I understand. When I left there was a line out the door. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop in early because these donuts go fast.

I've lived in South Lyon about a year and a half now and we love going to this bakery. The donuts are always fresh and amazing, and we've even gotten a cake there for our toddlers birthday. This year, I was blown away by how perfect this cake came out. I asked for it to look like Elmo, but I never expected it to be this good! I'll continue ordering from here any chance I get.

We love to stop in for donuts! We noticed a sign on the window for custom cakes and our daughters birthday happened to be coming up. This cake is AMAZING! The color palette was spot on and we chose the whippy frosting, with half vanilla and half chocolate on the inside. We will be getting cakes from here from now on!
