I tried a lot of chicken kabab and only Boishakhi makes it the best! I also love their chicken biryani, chick peas, chicken masala, and vegetable samosas. I highly recommend this restaurant to eat. Staff are very friendly. I order chicken kabab usually 20 to 40 pcs each time I travel around Long Island City.

Everything here was good. Not much to be said to be honest. If you look at who's eating here, it is all ethnic people, and a ton of older people as well. That should tell you that this place is definitely authentic. I enjoyed every single dish that I had here; I was recommended to eat at this place by a Bangladeshi friend. I was not disappointed. My favorite dishes were the samosas and the chicken lollipops. The chicken lollipops were an Indo-Chinese sort of dish with a savory sauce a crunchy exterior. The samosas were perfectly seasoned and slightly crispy. Tandoori chicken was also excellent and well-seasoned throughout the outside and interior. The only fault I could really find was that the biriyanis did not have too strong of a flavor profile, but that is to be expected since it is more so a vessel to eat with the other dishes, which were all amazing. Atmosphere could technically improve but I could care less if they have excellent food. I really have no complaints about this place. Upstairs was packed but we were able to eat downstairs and enjoy our large meal. I will definitely remember this spot.

Got the opportunity to try their roti with omelet and stewed vegetables (my apology for not really knowing the dishes name Orz) and oh my I can't be more satisfied with this breakfast. It reminded me ao much of my favorite Taiwanese breakfast 蔥油蛋餅 and was exactly what I needed. Besides, the restaurant is very clean (both 1st floor and basement), the food is super fresh and flavorful (you can really be rejuvenated from a proper meal) and I love the owner Ms. Rimi who is like a sweet motherly figure to everyone coming to her restaurant. Definitely recommend and definitely bringing friends here next time I get the chance!!!

Boishakhi Restaurant Bengali Flavors in the Heart of Astoria I stopped by Boishakhi Restaurant in Astoria, and it absolutely hit the mark. Everything we ordered was packed with bold flavor and felt like true Bengali comfort food. I started with the Chicken Bihari, and wow it was tender, full of flavor, and far from your average chicken dish. It had a smoky, well-balanced spice that made it anything but boring. Then came the Beef Tehari, and it was incredible. The rice was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying my taste buds, genuinely happy. The tamarind sauce on the side added the perfect tangy contrast. I also tried a samosa, and I immediately wished I had ordered more. It was perfectly flaky with a light crunch, and the filling was flavorful with just a little kick. One was not enough! Parking in the area can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s worth it Astoria is full of amazing food spots, and Boishakhi is definitely one of them. We spent about $30 total, which was more than enough for two people (even three could share). That’s the beauty of NY so many places like this keeping it real, authentic, and full of heart. If you’re anywhere near Astoria and craving something flavorful and satisfying, make sure Boishakhi is on your list.

Authentic Bangladeshi restaurant provides tasty food, kabab and sweets. Restroom and indoor dining available. Meter parking in the area. If you want to taste Bangladeshi food in NYC, I recommend this restaurant. Price also reasonable.

Met my Bangladeshi friend for lunch. First time so I asked for recommendations and landed on the fish curry with rice and lentil soup. So good. Warned about the many bones but I didn’t mind. The curry was so flavorful, not too strong but warm and comforting. All the dishes I had tasted like hand made from mothers. You order at the counter and then sit down. They bring you the food and then you pay after you’re done. All very casual. We lingered and had tea. It was a lovely lunch.
