Great place to enjoy a meal or a drink. Great atmosphere and staff. A back patio which is dog friendly and super cute is a great place to sit outside to enjoy the weather.
I ate at The Recovery Room in La Crosse three nights in a row while traveling for work, and it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, and the service was consistently excellent. The cozy neighborhood pub and grill atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. I tried the cheese curds, steak tips, and wings—everything was delicious. The Kentucky bourbon glaze and the honey Sriracha cilantro sauce were absolute standouts. If you're wondering what to do in La Crosse, definitely check this place out. I’ll be back for sure!
Nice bar. We did have some nachos that were very good. Looked like a nice menu. I believe they make their own soup. Very reasonable to drink here
Solid food. I enjoyed my burger. In true Wisconsin fashion the fish sandwich had 2 pieces that could have made multiple sandwiches. Also, looking at the drink specials I understand why this state doesn't want to legalize cannabis and keep everyone drunk.
I had been here a couple of times for drinks after work but I had always heard that the food was pretty good. That is incorrect. The food is freaking amazing. What in the world?! The Recovery Room has some of the best food I've had since moving to the area over the summer (2021). I had the steak sandwich (can't remember the name) and it was so incredibly good. The place was fairly busy for the Packer's game and they don't have a huge staff, but the food came out quickly and perfectly. I love places like this and the fact that the food is just over the top delicious, this is now my go to bar.
Great place, great food, great service. I'm fully recovered.
Listen, if you look up the words "neighborhood bar" a picture of The Recovery Room should pop up. Amazing experience every time. I am never treated as if my money doesn't matter. I'm greated everytime I enter as if they haven't seen me in years and they really missed me...the atmosphere is light, fun, funny and engaging. The food is wayyyy above what you'd expect from a bar. I had prime rib last Thursday! PRIME RIB!, at a bar...and it was fantastic! If you want THE premier neighborhood bar experience stop at Recov!
Very cool bar in the middle of town. We a smash burger and a couple of gyros. Apparently the gyro was the best my friend has had in this area, and he has tried A lot!!! Great cheese curds too!
