Stopped here for lunch before hopping on the train. Super cozy atmosphere, quiet, perfected for an overstimulated mom LOL. My daughter and I enjoyed the sliders and the wonderful sweet potato fries. Not pictured was the 10/10 tzatziki burger. Totally amazing. I will think about these sweet potato fries in my sleep wishing I were closer

We came to Michigan City for a long weekend, in the process discovered this little gem (kinda what we do). Been there twice so far, will be heading back before we leave. Great atmosphere, clean bar, clean bathrooms, clean exterior, which to me are all indicators of the quality and preparation of the food and almost always guarantee a clean well run kitchen. Check, check and check! Food was absolutely delishous and well prepared, we had the wings which were some of the best we have had. All plates being served appeared to be extremely well prepared and smelled awesome. The owner, Ben introduced himself on day one and wanted to insure everything was excellent. I watched Ben be present and work as hard as anyone else on both visits, which is a recipe for success for sure!! We will definitely return and recomend the Ritz Klub to anyone visiting the area.

Best wings and pretzel ever!! The vibes, drinks, music, food, and service are just top tier! We devoured our food our else I would’ve snapped a pic. Thank you Val and Maria for the best experience ever. Our new fav spot!!

Last time I was here I sat down at my favorite table and it seemed like there was some sort of promotion going on called “Ugliest Sibling.” A man named Jake, who I didn’t recognize as a staff member, was walking around slowly from table to table with an Amazon Fire Tablet. I watched him for a few minutes as he spoke to a couple, made the woman laugh, put his hand on her shoulder, asked the man a few questions, then the man pulled out his phone and swiped furiously until he turned the phone around and held it up to Jake’s face, showing him a picture. Jake’s eyes got wide. He looked at the wife and mockingly shook his head and laughed. Jake pointed to the kitchen, snapped his fingers twice and gave a whistle. He squeezed the woman’s shoulder. She looked up lovingly at him. The man’s shoulders slumped. I was transfixed, I watched as the same thing happened at the table across the aisle. Finally, Jake came up to my table. “Hi pal, I’m Jake — want to participate in tonight’s promotion? It’s called “Ugliest Sibling.” Turns out they were having a promotion where if you were objectively uglier than your siblings, you received a free appetizer sampler! Turns out Jake was a talent scout from All The Looks That Pop It Modeling Agency. Once he said that, I could tell it was true by the way he dressed. All you had to do was pull up a picture of you and your siblings on your phone and show it to Jake. He would use his model scouting prowess to quickly objectify you and your siblings, assigning you all 1-10 scale ratings. If yours was lower than your siblings, boom, you got an appetizer sampler! You did have to agree to subscribe to Jake’s Substack “An Eye for a Guy: Selecting Male Beauty for Print and Film” but you were allowed to suspend your auto payment after 90 days. Now this is brilliant marketing! Once word gets out about this new promotion, you’re not gonna be able to get a table at this place for months.

If you ever ate at 5th Street Deli back in the day and loved their Big Cheese, you know it is hard (nearly impossible) to find/recreate. Ritz Klub comes as close as you’re going to get! I worked at 5th Street and ate that thing darn near every shift. Anywhere we go, I always get grilled cheese to see how it stacks up. This one is the first place who had three cheeses that actually melted together to perfection. I had mine on sourdough (Texas toast was great back in the day, but now, I like less bread), and it was amazing. There are foods I grew up with that I’m always on the lookout for no matter where we are…a certain burger from New Buffalo, a certain pizza from a place on Franklin Street, and a certain chili cheese dog to eat from a tray hanging on my car window. Ritz Klub’s grilled cheese gets a blue ribbon!

I am a chef I been all around tasted many foods in my life let me tell you my wife ordered a patty melt on rye I had the 6 piece chicken wings with Cajun fries with beer cheese to dip them in I can’t express enough how absolutely delicious the food was and the experience and customer service was just as good I even tipped the cooks the food was phenomenal highly recommend me and my wife will definitely be back I live 40 minutes away that’s nothing for the food I’ll get definitely worth the drive can’t wait to go back

The atmosphere, food, service , everything about this place was awesome! Highly recommended checking the place out! We got the patty melt, blt, turkey reuben , kids mac n cheese ( I believe it is beer cheese), and kids shrimp. Absolutely LOVED the FRIES!
