We went up there for a Queen of Hearts drawing and OMG ... They have the best Phily Cheese Steak and Fries Food, Service, & Atmosphere ALL deserve an A+++ Rating !!!
Stopped in while on a mid week motorcycle ride. The owners are a young couple, very friendly and nice and welcoming atmosphere.
My fiancé and I stopped in on our way home to Peoria after visiting St. Louis. We love visiting small towns for lunch and the Rustic Tavern in Worden did not disappoint! The staff and regulars were so friendly and the food was delicious! We had the Philly and the Pub Burger with some great fries and wings. We’re excited to come by again on our next trip!
Fun little local bar with a nice acoustic duo. No nice to be off the grid
Great small town grill. Catfish bites were great, coleslaw was phenomenal, fries were perfectly cooked (rarity in places today), and hushpuppies were good. Would have preferred homemade starter sauce, but something to work towards. Daughter enjoyed her pub burger. Different nightly specials all 7 days. Worth a stop!
The waitress was awesome, friendly and tolerant of my goofiness. The food was pretty good for bar fare, with two exceptions, which cost a point here.. the Toasted Ravioli was just short of what I'd call burnt. Not quiet, but close.. just more than a bit overdone. My burger, no one asked how I liked it prepared, and it was definitely 'well done' while I am a medium rare kinda guy. The Hush Puppies totally made up for it though, holy cow these were maybe the best hush puppies I've had, - again slightly over fried, but the flavor was just short of divine. Loaded Fries were also a huge hit, the white cheese was perfect where most places use something like Cheez-Wiz. The cook for the evening was the owner I was told, so his house, his rules, but I think he's heavy on the fryer and needs to learn to ask for meat preferences, if I'd ordered a steak that came the way the burger did I would have sent it back. Over all, this is a place we'll be visiting again soon.
The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Good cold drinks, with the bonus of excellent food in a small town Cheers-type bar is refreshing!!! We've eaten the pork steak and all of the Friday fish/seafood specials and it's been delicious!
Great group of people working there. It’s nice to find a place where different employees like the place enough to recommend family to work there too. Food was solid was good and the kitchen was clean. Well set up area for bands. Highly recommend this place for anyone trying to find a safe and friendly bar to hang at.
