I am genuinely shocked by the low Yelp rating here - I have been to the restaurant twice and both times, everything was fabulous from the food, to the ambiance, to the service. I recently went there to celebrate my 10 year anniversary with my husband and made a reservation. The staff greeted me warmly, congratulated us on 10 years, and then gave us a handwritten anniversary card. The wait staff gave us some of the most exceptional service I have ever had. We had 2 wait staff serving us - they helped to relight the candle when asked, tried to fix the tilt in the table, checked in on us at the right times, and only charged us for one tea when we mentioned we were splitting (but brought two bags anyways). That was already a good sign. At the end of a wonderful meal, the waiter informed us that they were comping our TWO desserts (sorbets $10 each) for free for our anniversary. My jaw dropped to the floor - that was so incredibly generous. Now on the food. The fried green tomatoes and jumbo lump crab appetizer is absolutely delicious. Last time I had the rockfish and crab risotto entree and it was so good - tender fish and creamy risotto. This time I had the salmon entree and it was perfectly cooked medium like I asked - super tender, moist, not overcooked. My husband got the mahi burger with sweet potato fries which was delicious too. One of my favorite parts was the seasonal sorbet - 3 generous scoops of different flavors. The mango and strawberry was really creamy and perfectly fruity and sweet. The lemon flavor was icier but super refreshing. Price point is high at about $30-40 per entree ($20 if you're doing handhelds), but I think for the food quality and service, it's worth it for a special occasion. The ambiance is warm with great lighting. The restaurant is very noisy when busy so keep that in mind depending on what you are going for.
Met up with friends dor a Birthday celebration. We arrived for brunch so I ordered the captain crunch French toast with a side of fruit. I also ordered the pomegranate mint spritzer. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing as we were seated next to the fireplace.
Consistency and quality of Atlas group, coupled with great friendly service and nice setting. Varied menu across good salads, nice appetizers and good selection of entrees. Good beer selection and solid cocktail options. They have some specials throughout different days of the week.
Have stopped in here twice before both times for just drinks. Decided to sit at the bar and get a small bite to eat. Waited until 5:00 to get the happy hour menu on Sunday and watch football and it was worth it. They were happy hour portions but still very well put together and quite delicious. Shrimp tacos, beef kabobs with a very fresh Greek salad , and the standout dish of mussels. Perfectly steamed mussels of very good size in a leak and tomato broth. The broth could be bottled and drank separately. Took a glance at the restaurant side. Very well decorated with the touch of local history. Looking forward to going back and having a dinner and adding to this review with additional comments and pictures.
Had a nice time here - lovely patio, great service, unfortunately can't say the food was memorable. Maybe just wasn't our place as the reviews are really good. Crab cake was good!! The overdry fries and an okay coleslaw just weren't adding anything. Cream of crab soup was very good!!! Excellent! But it came in a bowl with drips on the sides like it was just sloppily poured in. Maybe we were there in a busy night and things got missed. Steak salad ($30) had green lettuce parts in it that should not be in a salad :-( Tacos were ok but again weirdly with overdrive fries on the side. Service was good and the people worked really hard. The birthday girl enjoyed herself and it's all that mattered .
Went for lunch and I really enjoyed it! We didn't have a reservation but that wasn't a problem (not sure if reservations are needed other times of the day). I ordered nachos as an appetizer, and they were so massive that I couldn't eat anything else! Huge portion that really could have been shared by 3-4 people. They were quite good and I would order them again. Chips were crisp and there was plenty of guacamole on top. Cream of crab soup was good and so was the shrimp salad wrap with fries. I thought the price we paid for what we received was well worth it. The service was good and while it was a little noisy, the atmosphere was nice. The front half of the restaurant by the bar is much nicer than the back which is where we sat. Nonetheless, I would definitely return again in the future!
Pretty nice dinner. Our first visit and we definitely enjoyed it. The seafood tower was really good. Cream of crab was one of our favorites. The chicken parm was a tad dry and didn't care for the pasta they paired with it. Meatballs were good with plenty of sauce. Mac and cheese is yummy. Shrimp was huge and flavored nicely. Brownie was ok but more like cake.
This place has good food for sure but will add its not the cheapest of dinners either and with that one would expect the steaks to be hot when they came out which they were not so we sent back. The ambiance is nice casual place we ate inside on the covered patio with 4 of us for dinner. The waiter was fully engaged and attentive to our request, which were noth out of ordinary. Overall id say you should try this place especially when there's live music and patio and fireplaces are going.
