I had heard about this place being awesome so we drove a distance to try it out. Well worth the drive!! Some of the best ribs I have ever had and brisket was really good as well. Outstanding service….super friendly waitress and an owner who goes out of his way to ensure people are happy with their meals. We will be back for sure!
First time at Scruggs. I have been wanting to get the fish and it did not disappoint. My whole plate was delicious. Only issue is they had ran out of hushpuppies early. Next time maybe. Will definitely go back. Great customer service!
This place was fantastic. I had puked chicken plate with potato salad and macaroni and cheese but also sampled the brisket, baked beans, and fried okra my friend ordered. It was all delicious. And the generous serving of cornbread that accompanied was also top tier. Really good food and even though it was my first time there, the service was like that of a regular customer. Which I will be as I'm already planning my next trip back.
Best BBQ place in Alabama! Their Brisket sandwich is absolutely to die for! Warning though. You will want to lay down and take a nap after leaving there!
BBQ’d to perfection! No crazy stuff, no shortcuts, just great Smoked BBQ! Brisket is the best in the area! At least 20 times better than Big Bob Gibson!!! Come try it out!
GREAT GREAT GREAT BBQ!! You have to wait a little longer than fast-food bc it’s not a fast-food place. It has a drive through, restroom, indoor seating & plenty of parking! If you seriously want a great BBQ this is the place to go!!
This was our first time visiting this small local business. We were in town for a quick getaway for our anniversary at the local KOA. My wife found this place. We stopped by for lunch. I ordered the pulled pork, brisket combo plate with baked beans and macaroni n cheese. My wife got the rib sandwich which came with coleslaw on the side. All the meats were tender and moist. The side were good. I purchased extra coleslaw for the leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant when traveling through Decatur, Alabama.
