Wood's Ribs & Fish

Myself and family don't eat pork or bottom feeder fish so our experience with eating from a local black owned or "soul food" restaurant in this county is very limited. The sides here are pretty good though.

I love Woods! They have the best Fish and Ribs my girl who works the counter is so cool and very pleasant to deal with

Wood's food was great! The rib tip's we're kind of tough but the greens, candy yams, and the sauce was great! I have been there before in the past and the fish was pretty good also! I've had there banana pudding and it was good too! I would go back and order rib tip's again and hope that I can chew them. The waitress was a pretty nice young lady!

Bucket of rib tips and mac n cheese tonight for dinner. Wow is all I can say!!! Loved the sauce and the mac n cheese was still steaming hot when we got home. Short wait time, and the guys working the counter were very nice! Definitely be back!

I got the catfish dinner. It filled me up. It was cooked perfectly.. my sides were the fried and Mac n cheese. Fries were good. Just wish I had asked for salt and pepper for the Mac n cheese. Other than that it was really good. I do feel bad.. I usually like to tip.. used my debit card and thought I might get a prompt to tip and it didn't. Next time I promise I will double my tip because you have deserved it. We work out of Lansing and have jobs in Flint occasionally . Also came out quickly for it being noon.

As always, my food was delicious. My rib tips were tender. My fish was seasoned and fried to perfection. The cabbage was amazing. The only thing that could have made my meal better, was some cornbread!!

This place by far has the best catfish this out of the Mississippi and also the perch is fantastic. We got the 12 piece catfish and 12 piece perch basket along with coleslaw and baked beans, The baked beans were delicious. Oh and also the fried okra. Very good portion. Sizes are great. Service is wonderful as well. Can't wait to go back!

I ordered catfish. They missed half my order but corrected it immediately and gave me a $10 discount! My fish is Delicious, fried and seasoned to Perfection! Woods has been a staple in our community since I was a kid and the food is still good!

I love the rib tip bucket and make it a point to stop here when in Michigan. They also offer homemade peach cobbler that is absolutely delicious. This is a small family owned business that has been around in some capacity for most of my life.
