This hidden gem in Marionville, MO just off highway 60 at 265 on the east side of the intersection! Look for the low building with the green paint on the sides and nothing but outlines of zombies. The best is inside! The food that comes out of Barbie‘s dream kitchen is a dream itself. According to my husband it was the biggest burger with the most flavor that he’s ever had in his entire life. He got tater tots with his burger, every little boy’s dream. My “Cancer” plate Was a flavorful and delicious amazingly seasoned, tender, petite sirloin. At Chef Barbies, suggestion, I tried her homemade zombie berry sauce (a reduction of a variety of fresh berries) as a compliment to my fried green beans, both were a pallet pleasing combination. Though they tried I could not be tempted to partake of the famous cheesecake, just too full! Maybe the zombies will get me next time! Yes there definitely will be a next time! We both want to try the breakfast menu. We were warned her biscuits bring all the boys to the bar (can’t threaten us with a good time). So we all know the food/flavor is only one aspect of a restaurant: The Service is top notch! Speedy, accurate and completely on point. No long wait for food or drinks! The Atmosphere & decor should bring all the zombie fans to the Saloon (pictures below). OMG, anyone who loves zombie, apocalypse, walking dead or zombie anything will fall in love. From the exterior, to the kitchen everything is zombies. Even the bathroom is top notch zombie humor & bloody handprints. If the dogs happen to be on the patio say hello to Miss Zombie Paws & her brother Dexter (IFYKYK)! You might wanna put this on your list and take the time to drive out from Springfield, or in from Monet, as this should become your zombie destination of choice. Oh & they have Live Music on the weekends too! We were threatened with multiple Halloween parties & “wait till you see out Halloween decorations”! Put our names down, we will be out for haunted zombie season!

It is The City Morgue now. An awesome bar and grill. Food is very yummy and big servings. They have a fun horror Deco. The names of drinks and food are fun. Prices are reasonable . They have pool tables and slot machines. You can have the bartender keep a list of the 40 different drinks that you try. When you have tried all 40 you get a free T-shirt.

This is such a cool spot. The service is great, such an amazing atmosphere and the food was spot on! The menu has such a variety of food from breakfast, burgers and sandwiches. The menu is something to look at for sure! My family and I had a blast reading the menu, you can tell the owners definitely put a lot of work into it! This was our second time to come here and we will definitely be back! They earned loyal customers from us for sure!!

Literally the best food around. We ordered two apps, 5 entrees and a dessert and all of it was fantastic. We all dug in so fast I didn’t get many pictures. This is going to be added to our pit stops on our way to Branson, MO.

Looking for a culinary experience? You have to see what Chef Barbi has created here. This food is hand made and perfect for The City Morgue theme. Her creations are to DIE for and you won’t leave hungry. Order some Squirrel Bites and Fried Oreos with your breakfast items served all day! Also, make sure you check out the bathrooms. This place is a true experience.

Happened upon this place through Facebook and had to check it out. Can definitely say wasn't disappointed, highly recommend, and will be returning. Food was hot and delicious, our waitress was polite and just a joy to be around, my drinks were flavorful, and their Zombie aphmoshere was to die for. Whether you're looking for food, drinks, or just a cool place to hang out, this place has it all. Highly recommend

Super fun place and great food! Dive bar feel with several pool tables, complete with horror movie posters and props, and lots and lots of zombie stuff. Add friendly people and you have a winning combination! We were there for the food. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, all with names that fit into the City Morgue restaurant theme. The Philly Cheese Steak (named the Philly Massacre) was a good sized sandwich with lots of filling and they did NOT skimp on the fries (already ate some fries before taking the pictures). Well spiced meat, melty cheese, and plenty of onions and peppers, and the fries were battered and fried - very crisp but not over done. Friends had the steak and fried okra, with good reports on both. Give them a try - well worth the 25 minute drive from Springfield.

This food is to DIE for! Chef Barbi has created a menu with “44 Ways to Die” and she hit the nail on the head. What a fun experience. It is not your average dive bar. This is some of the BEST food in the area. Splurge on the cheesecake or a cookie. They are the perfect way to end a delicious meal. The staff is fantastic, too.
