I visited this place about eight years ago and remember it being quite good. Today my friends and I came back for brunch, and I have to say — they still make pretty good bennies and waffles! The portions are generous, and it’s been seven hours and I’m still full.
I’m a sucker for Eggs Benedict, so I found the waffle base concept quite interesting. I got a mix of the regular and the potato waffle, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The service was great, and the staff were very welcoming
We visited The Starving Artist in Toronto for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed. We tried their breakfast waffles and omelets—both were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The taste was rich, comforting, and satisfying, just what you’d hope for in a brunch spot. The pricing was fair for the quality and portion size. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed morning meal. A special mention to our server, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our experience even better. Definitely a place we’d love to return to!
Good waffle based brunch place. Was not crowded on a Sunday and we go seated right away. Staff was friendly and the place was neat and tidy. Food was good but everything is waffle based …. The smoothies and milkshakes were yum!
Delicious breakfast Loved their Eggs Benedict. Creamy sauce, perfectly poached eggs, great waffles, the entire dish was well balanced. One of the best Bennies I’ve ever had in a while. The coffee was ok, nothing special. The atmosphere was quite crowded, but that's expected on a weekend morning. It is recommended to make a reservation for a table on weekends. Despite being busy the service was efficient. Great food for a reasonable price. Overall, a very good, friendly and tiny spot for breakfast. I would love to try their waffle sandwiches on my next visit.
Really enjoyed breakfast with a friend here. Great spot for lengthy chats. Service was attentive and refilled our water constantly. Eggs Benny with sausage was delicious, the eggs were perfectly runny. I will say the sausage is a little overly salty but thats more of a preference, but if you’re sensitive to sodium may want to order something else. Cafe mocha very satisfying.
