Second time at this location as I was passing through Laval. Just as good as I remember it to be! We got the duck eggs benny, and the indecisive in the lemon blueberry pancake as one and strawberry pancake as the second dish. All the food was delicious! We tried the matcha latte and the pistachio latte. From the whipped cream to the potatoes to the lattes. The portions are generous and delicious all around. This was just as good as I remember it 2 years ago. Staff are so kind and patient. Atmosphere is unique as the wall art and decor give a street vibe. Would recommend to anyone looking for a brunch spot!
We came in very late around 3:35 and honestly weren’t expecting fresh food since it’s almost the end of the day. But the food and service didn’t disappoint at all. One of the best potatoes I’ve had. Pancakes were a 10/10 service was amazing so was the atmosphere and most importantly it was sooo fresh.
I’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally decided to go since we were in the area and it made for a nice birthday brunch. The Laval location has a cozy vibe, the décor is stylish, and the service was warm and attentive. Food-wise, it was a mixed experience: - The Indecisive Sticky Toffee Pancake: very sweet, and I could only manage a few bites (3/5). Definitely one for people with a big sweet tooth. - Classic Benedict: excellent, soft buttery English muffins with ham, egg, and sauce all perfectly balanced. Great texture and taste (4.5/5). - Potatoes: perfectly seasoned and crisp, easily the standout side (5/5). - Latte: unfortunately a letdown, felt watered down and lacked depth of flavour (2/5). I also wanted to try the matcha and strawberry drink on the menu, but it wasn’t available, which was a little disappointing. Overall, despite a few misses, the food was enjoyable and I’d still recommend checking this place out especially for brunch. I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu.
Another location another great experience. Huge portion, fun atmosphere and always great food! Amazing coffee drinks can’t go wrong. Table of 14 everyone enjoyed their food!
Funky restaurant with graffiti on some walls. It was pretty empty for a Thursday morning. Waitresses were very nice and helpful. The eggs Benedict were good, but I found the sauce was a bit spicy. My kids had the pancakes with strawberry and Nutella. They loved it! The pistachio latte was delicious. For 3 people, which 2 were kids, I found it expensive. But it was a nice experience.
We LOVED to food there! Delicious and fresh ingredients! Amazing and friendly staff ! The only downside was that it was a bit too noisy, which made it hard to hear each other.
This was not my first time at this breakfast place, however, this is the first time since they changed their menu. Overall I was happy with the service and wait staff. Our breakfast was served faster than I expected. Portions were more than enough,(had to ask for a take out box) The noise level was high so having a conversation was challenging. Food was excellent, only thing that left a bitter taste was the filtered coffee. It was so strong that I'm sure I grew hair on my chest.
Food was very tasty and the waiters and waitresses are very nice. Unfortunately one of our plate came without the right kind of bread, the brought the good one but the food went cold and they happily re-heated everything.
Cute and trendy. Food was delicious and ‘most’ portions are big (those who order eggs may leave a little hungry - see picture lol). Service was good but in the (almost) 2 hours that we were there (first to arrive at 8am) the waitress only came around to refill the coffee once which was disappointing. It got busy around 9:45am. The decor is funky and so is their menu - the print is loud and psychedelic and overwhelming. One fun aspect of the menu is that they have a page for the ‘undecided guest’ where one can order a mix of everything - a great touch!
One of a kind. Tasty and delicious. This is the Heuvos Rancheros we also tried the Istanbul plate; a must try! Coffee is so so. And it’s very crowded .
I've been coming to L'Avenue for years now, both in mtl and Laval. The food in either locations is extremely consistent and mind-blowingly delicious. The Dubai chocolate french toast was 11/10 levels of flavor, texture, and richness. Almost unbelievable. The eggs are very high quality, the yolk is literally orange. Even the bread is artisanal and has the perfect flavor and crunch. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
I went there for the first time a few weeks ago. It was amazing. The service, the food, the atmosphere. We got there close to the closing hour (before) but we were let in by Ghiles who accommodated us, served us great. The meal was fast and good ! That's some nice customer service ! Will definitely come back !
Je tiens à rehausser un peu la note générale de ce restaurant qui mérite plus que 4.1* The service was really good, i have to say also that the environment was very calm at 8:30am on a sunday morning. The whole meal was made with great quality ingredients. And globaly very satisfied, a big plus is the real maple syrup on the table that in my opinion is a shame for other restaurant in Quebec not to have any.. maybe the only down side for us was that the potatoes have a little bit too much added to it, too much garlic, I would personaly prefer it tasty but more simply seasoned. I strongly advise people to go discover it on an early subday morning after opening when you have very little people there, it IS an enjoyable experience !
