Honestly, this was the best restaurant breakfast I’ve ever had in my life — everything was just perfect. Not too sweet, not soggy nor too salty. You could taste the quality and care in every bite. There was a small incident during my visit, but the staff handled it incredibly well. It was one of those things no chef could fully control, and since they took it seriously and went above and beyond to make it right, I left more than satisfied. Highly recommend this place if you happen to be in Edinburgh, and want to try a full Scottish breakfast— amazing food, lovely people, and genuine hospitality.
I had the best meal here in Edinburgh. I bookmarked this place for breakfast so I knew what I was getting. When the hash landed on my table, Wow. I can see they take pride in preparing the food. And they use locally sourced produce. The pan-fried crispy herb potatoes were easily the best potato-based food I had so far. It’s flavourful, heartwarming, and crispy at the edges. The flat white is great too. The service is friendly and prompt. This place fills up quickly during breakfast, and it was almost full when I left.
One of the best breakfasts we’ve had in Scotland. Superb artisan coffee and a menu that celebrates local farmers. It’s cozy, authentic, and located perfectly near the Cathedral. To top it off, the staff are incredibly friendly and made our family feel right at home.
I would have walked straight past if it hadn't have been for my daughter taking me inside. Best thing she's ever done! I was surprised at the variety on offer and decided to order a Scottish dish as it was my first time in Edinburgh. How amazed was I when this beautiful plate of food came up that looked too good to eat! So delicately arranged and with beautiful flavors I sat and savoured every bite. I can't speak highly enough of this place. The care and passion for food and such genuinely friendly staff, I would make it my first port of call, no matter if I was to be alone or a large family gathering which one was going on and they were looked after. Well done guys, you absolutely blew me away
This place is definitely worth visiting for the atmosphere, especially given its location near the main tourist area. It’s on the Edinburgh 'Top List' (and maybe went a bit viral), so be prepared that the prices are a bit higher than average. The food was good—not amazing or super special, but tasty enough. The serving style is quite unique: everything comes in boxes because the kitchen is located in a separate part of the building. Overall, a cool experience if you don't mind paying a little extra.
Booking is a very good idea for this place as it gets busy! The food was delicious as was the coffee. There was an issue with my order and my partners food came before mine but to compensate they removed the price of the drinks from our bill and several members of staff came over to apologise. Wonderful service and a good atmosphere
The breakfast was really lovely — fresh, tasty, and beautifully served. Everything was full of flavour, and the atmosphere was very nice and cozy. We had to wait around 30 minutes, but it was totally worth it in the end. Highly recommend this place for a proper breakfast in Edinburgh
