Located in the first stall in the zTao foodcourt, serving up Northern Chinese specialties. The lamb noodle soup has hand-pulled noodles, which are always a plus. Liangpi is the very thin Xi'an style that is very vinegary and flavorful. Rou jia mo meat was seasoned very well and tasted fresh. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
I ordered the simple beef stir fry that had sliced bell peppers both red and green. You can select the types of noodles that you want. I prefer the thicker sized ones which are medium size in width. Soft but a slightly chewy texture. The perfect mouth feel. The guy working was friendly and helpful. Great place and and very inexpensive.
This is Something Authentic. The noodle is handmade 100%. I've ordered the Lamb Noodle Soup and the Deep fried Dough Stick ( Youtiao). That's reminded me with the old days of China Specially when it cold outside you'll be recharged after that Hand made noodle soup.
Very friendly guys at the counter. The food is so good, just like something you would get in China. The tables are in the grocery store food court and shared by all the restaurants. They can be a little dirty sometimes. I recommend doing takeout if that's off-putting. Be aware they upcharge for card, so bring cash. Some recommendations for people unfamiliar with "real" Chinese cuisine: 1. A classic chinese breakfast is youtiao (fried dough stick) dipped in soy milk. You can get both here and try that yourself. 2. Jellied tofu sounds gross but it's really a savory tofu-broth. I also love dipping the fried dough sticks into it. Make sure you ask for the Northern China savory variety... they also offer a Southern China sweet variety. 3. The pita bread in mutton soup and rougamo are Xi'an (Shaanxi) specialties. Honestly, theirs are way better than what I had in China. The lamb didn't taste gamey and was really tender. If you let the pita absorb the soup, it tastes great. 4. Their handmade noodles have just the right texture. The chewy thick centers are addictive. The texture is a little like American chicken and dumplings, but the soup is 100% traditional Chinese spices and flavor. I loved the spicy chicken noodle soup. (It is a little spicy for low tolerance though.) TLDR, go here. You won't regret. They don't show up on Yelp but they're more authentic than anything that does show up.
This restaurant was located in the food court of ztao marketplace and the service and ambiance was pretty mediocre. However, the food was excellent. I love their jellied tofu, wonton soup, lamb noodle soup, pickled cabbage and pork intestines noodle, chili oil noodle, braised chicken rice and beef spicy hot pot. If you like Chinese food, give this place a try, they're really good and affordable.
We love the hand pulled noodles here. The texture is perfectly chewy and balanced between the salt and the spicy. We drove 1 hour just to get our noodles here! Tried the fried dumplings too and it was good as well. But that chili oil noodle is the bomb!!!
July 2024 I visited here very often but never posted a review. I wanted to support this small business and leave them a high mark. Aside from the great hand pulled noodle my family loved, I enjoyed the braised chicken rice. Such a comfort food for only $10. The prices wasn’t adjusted even with the inflation. This is my go to place when I am hungry after lunch rush. My rating. 5 is very satisfy. Taste 5 Temperature 5 Attentiveness 5 ( they are working in the kitchen but will respond immediately when bell was rung.) Cleanliness 3… it is in the food court. I will definitely return and recommend others.
The BEST ever chinese pork burger! Freshly made buns. Very good texture. And the chopped pork tastes soooo GOOD! Also, the dry noodles with soybean paste are so chewy and tasty. Handmade noodles! Authentic...
