China Garden Restaurant Los Banos

We always have a pretty good experience at China Garden. The restaurant may feel a little old and the service isn’t always 5⭐, but the food is always very delicious! My new favorite is the Crab Cream Cheese Rangoons. This visit, we shared some Sweet and Sour Chicken along with the Rangoons. I recommend a visit if you want some delicious food!

We stopped here for a dinner. The staff was friendly, the food had good size portions.

I come here for the potstickers!!! They’re just so good!! And also their rice and chow mein got good flavor and customer service is EXCELLENT

Food is really good but the walunt shrimp had way to much cream but it was still good And had a great time with family and the service was awesome!,and I just finished eating

I always get take out, they are very fast but some time I wish they would offer the egg flower soup to take home. We order there about once a week. It's getting a little pricey though prices have gone up. 1 oder of pork pan fried rice, 1 order od chicken low main an 1 oder of sweet an sour pork runs about $35 but it's enough for 2 meals for the 2 of us.

Very good wonton soup(wontons,BBQ pork,shrimp,chicken) I usually order in advance on my lunch. Both times have been delicious. The BBQ pork fried rice is also very good! I haven't had their Chinese food in a while but I'll be trying again very soon.

China garden is one of the most authentic Chinese food in Los Baños. The food taste amazing. Their egg rolls and soup if you get a dinner combo are made to perfection. If you are in the area and have a Chinese food craving, go there, you'll not regret it. As of March 2025, They still offer a decent amount of food that you can eat in 2 servings for a decent price.

⭐ 1 star for Carmen - unprofessional rude waitress. And 5 stars for friendly knowledgeable Elaine So I walked into this restaurant for the 1st time, and our waitress, Carmen, immediately made the experience stressful and unfriendly. Before my husband and I even sat down at the table, this waitress shrieked at us and demand we give her our drink selection, Twice before we sat down ! So she was asking what we wanted to drink—without giving us a chance to look at the menu. When we tried to order drinks that weren’t available, she finally provided the list of available drinks, but then took the menu away before we could even look at food selection. Realizing she took away the menus, She had to give it back, saying we might need more time to decide. How can I decide something when I did not even look at the menu ??! Her whole attitude and unprofessionalism were so bad, I almost wanted to walk out right away from the restaurant. Customer service from Carmen is very poor, and I would not recommend her at all as a waitress. I’ve noticed She even rushed other customers, even though the restaurant was not busy—our table was the third in the restaurant when we came. I had to ask other waitress to serve us. Thankfully, Elaine took over and made our experience enjoyable and satisfactory. She was very attentive, brought hot food promptly, refilled drinks on time, offered helpful suggestions for main course with details, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and even sauces that comes with the dish. Elaine provided excellent service and friendly vibe. If you go to this restaurant, ask for Elaine, you won’t regret.
