Really good consistency with food quality. The restaurant has become a order pickup only option as they no longer allow on-site dining.The egg rolls are much smaller now than in the past.
When we lived in richmond, we used to go to the Great Wall all of the time. Since we moved closer to winchester, we go to the China House now. The food is amazing and the prices are very good. We always get the sesame chicken combos. We have always loved the Great Wall in richmond, but to be honest with you, the China House is a lot better!
The china house has been in Winchester for years and it has been consistently good. You can count on the china house to always come with the best authentic Chinese food. I love this place and I think so does the whole town.

I've visited here twice. The dining room is closed, and it is carry-out only. The food has been fresh, hot and delicious. Usually, it takes 10 to 15 to get your food. There is parking on the street out front. On busy days, finding a parking spot can be a bit of a challenge. The staff is always outgoing and helpful. I will visit again soon.
Ok, I tried the vegetable egg foo young. I enjoyed it. The gravy was some of the best I've eaten and they were quite generous with the vegetables as they were cook perfectly with a little crispness. I have been an executive chef for some 30 years and have eaten all over our great country, Canada and Mexico. I'll have to try something else from the menu before making my decision of just how good the cuisine is here. I had not eaten here since they had taken over from the previous owners. The previous owners food was horrible compared to most Chinese food I've eaten. Chinese, Korean, vietnamese and thai are some of my specialties I enjoy cooking Asian style!
It's the perfect place for some good Chinese food. Service is excellent and everyone is nice. The food is the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want some great food and atmosphere!
PERFECTLY prepared local food at very reasonable prices. Service is great! The folks working there are so friendly! My power wheelchair has trouble getting in the door - it's a historic building - but the staff accommodates me by bringing my to-go orders out to me. If I were going to dine in, I'd consider bringing my manual chair or smaller PWC.
