Dong Happy Garden

I have been going here ever since I was a kid and just realized that I never left a review. When I used to work in Ossining, my coworkers would always order Chinese from here for lunch. The food would always come quickly and fresh, and I never had any issues with the order or the quality. Normally, I get General Tso's chicken at every Chinese restaurant I go to because it is my favorite dish. I have tried that dish at possibly 100+ Chinese restaurants, and I definitely have to say that none of them compares to Dong Happy Garden's. Dong Happy Garden's General Tso's chicken is the best I ever had from any restaurant, hands down. The chicken is crispy, the sauce is tangy, and it has the perfect amount of flavor. I don't know what they do differently from other restaurants, but theirs actually tastes like real chicken, whereas other restaurants' are always soggy or the sauce is too soupy. Now that I no longer live in the area, I am always craving the Chinese food from here because I can't get the same quality and taste anywhere else. Whenever I am back in town, I always make sure to stop by and get something. The lady working at the counter is always super friendly! I would highly recommend you try the food from here. You won't be disappointed!

The woman working there was yelling at her hard-working children then forcefully told me "go sit down" while I was waiting for them to give me my drink. Maybe it's not my place but it's unprofessional. She needs to find her own "Happy Garden". Presentation of the food was incredible, and it tasted good too. Kudos to those good hard-working kids! Her son was especially polite.

Favorite go to spot for Chinese food. Always enjoy their service and quality.

This Chinese takeout was right by the pier in a shopping plaza, easy parking. The steamed white rice large size was quart portion and very good!! not grainy hard undercooked. And best of all, price was best deal you could find anywhere in NY!! Thank you and would visit without a doubt!!

Not the best Chinese food I have ever had. It was good enough for the price, and having some seating was nice. The staff was friendly, it was clean. The fry oil was a little past its prime, making the egg roll a bit off. We left satisfied and fueled up for an afternoon hike

Surprisingly tender beef slices. Veggie portions were generous. Very authentic flavors. All in all I was happy with the meal.

If you haven't eaten food here, you're missing out. I have been eating food from here since I was 5 years old. Now in my mid 20's I still come back as often as I can to eat their delicious food even if I have to make a long drive. The lady at the front knows my family's orders by heart and always greets us with a smile. She has catered to me and my family's picky needs in the food. We don't get Chinese food from anywhere except here. Great service, great food, quick and affordable. Thank you for the wonderful food memories you have given me and my family all these years! You won't be disappointed!
