Golden Lily Chinese Restaurant

I love Golden Lilly! It is by far the best Chinese food I’ve ever had and would never turn down the opportunity to stop by. The General Tso’s chicken is my absolute favorite!

We got combination plates which were about $17/each and including an egg roll and won ton soup. He loved the Almond Boneless Chicken and I really enjoyed Szechuan Shrimp. The fried rice is excellent. Egg roll superb. Wonton soup was excellent. Our server was top notch from the moment we entered until we left. We arrived right at opening on a Sunday. I liked the decor inside. The outside of the building could use some work. We are definitely going back.

I was pleasantly surprised. Don't be fooled by the exterior. It is lame and needs renovation, but once you walk through the door, you are in a different place. The food was tasty and economical. Service was good and friendly. I would recommend it.

It’s been the best Chinese food restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going since 1962. I always find myself comparing other Chinese restaurants to Golden Lily. Their egg rolls have a distinct flavor that no other restaurant can match. Same with the wonton soup. Egg foo young is excellent as is their fried rice. I always put in an extra order of stuff to take home. Delicious!! I do miss Donna but she most definitely deserved to retire!!

The Cantonese-style food is fantastic! If youre looking for anew Chinese restaurant this is the place!! The warm and inviting atmosphere is enhanced by authentic Chinese decor, including giant Koi fish! The generous servings and reasonable prices make it a great choice.

This is my favorite place in Toledo. Every time I am in town, I eat at Golden Lily. Sweet & Sour Shrimp every time. My Dad first took me to their downtown location when I was six years old. Tea pot and placemats exactly the same since :-) Food is worth the trip; authenticly nostalgic decor and ambiance add significant value. Make sure you come, sit down, and eat here sooner than later, as I'm unsure about the sustainability (there's never more than two tables filled every time I'm in town).

Definitely my favorite place to eat Chinese! They have the absolute BEST sweet and sour chicken. It is made NOT with a red sauce BUT, with a honey/vinegar sauce. They also make a fantastic hot and sour soup. Absolutely DELICIOUS! I am a long time fan due to visiting when they were located in downtown Toledo over 20 years ago. We are so blessed to have them in this area! The two things that you must consider when dining inside is first, the decor is a little outdated and the windows are cold in the winter. Sometimes you will catch a glimpse of dust. And second, the wait staff is normally under staffed. If you can keep these things in mind and look past them, you will have your mind blown away with the most delicious food. And keep in mind that they do take orders by phone with pick up at their drive through window. Try them today!

Food is fantastic Cantonese style cooking, Feng shui is warm and inviting, with aunthentic Chinese decor and even giant Koi! The servings are huge and the price is nice.
