I like Hopwon for a good Chinese lunch on a work day in midtown. A simple, straight forward place. We can order online or in a machine in the store as well. While I got the simple Shrimp fried rice, I realized there are a lot more seafood choice , like salt & pepper stuff. Good food of its kind.
I had the bean curd roll and beef chow fun take out. The prices are inexpensive for this location. Food was good and filling.
I've always wanted to try this joint from passing by so many times. Finally had the chance to. They were open since 10am I believe. Picked up an early lunch after doing a work errand. I was a little overstimulated from outside factors so I couldn't thoroughly read the menu. I got fried rice my way and sesame chicken. I don't usually get sesame chicken. First of all I love how they have the sauces grab and go readily available on the counter. That's like 1000 stars from Someone like me right there. Big seating area. I'm sure they get very busy through out the day. Didn't get a drink, food cost $15. I wanna bring bae here. Food was delicious and tasted clean.
Little hidden Chinese place near Grand Central Station in Manhattan, great food very authentic. Can't wait to try their Cantonese style soup. The soup was excellent.
Would you sacrifice your dignity for superior Chinese food? Be prepared to get yelled at, pushed around, and catch your flying credit card with great aim. Because they will tell you that you are too slow at ordering and too clumsy at swiping your card. Also I hope you have good night vision. Because they literally don’t turn on the light in the back dinning area. With that said, I don’t look at myself in the mirror when I am full anyways… dignity.. well, see you another day…
Hop Won has always been a go-to spot for me, and now they’ve added dim sum to the menu—it’s fantastic. The dumplings and buns taste fresh and authentic, and the prices are still super reasonable for Midtown. Fast, tasty, and now with dim sum—what’s not to love?
I've tried countless chinese takeouts in different cities this place has the best chow fun!
