FOOD: This is a great spot for quick Chinese food, and the highlight for us was the enormous portion size. We ordered the Cantonese Family Dinner (Option B), and for two of us, totalling around $30, we were served so much food that we could only finish less than half and happily took the rest home as leftovers. The meal started with hot soups, followed by appetizers—we got fried wontons and a shrimp egg roll, both of which were fresh and tasty. The four entrées included pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, fried shrimp, and sweet and sour pork. The fried shrimp and noodles were especially delicious, and the fried rice had an authentic Chinese flavor. A nice touch was the complimentary oolong tea. SERVICE: Service was quick and well-paced. We appreciated that they didn’t bring everything to the table at once—soups came first, then appetizers, and finally the entrées—so nothing sat around getting cold. AMBIENCE: The restaurant has plenty of seating and felt comfortable and spacious. LOCATION: Conveniently located on W 11th with plenty of free parking available. WAITING TIME: No wait time at all, many open tables when we arrived.

The food here is one of a kind. A true Eugene experience. The safe are very nice and the prices are fair. If you're looking for that college prices America chinese food this is your place. As always my fellow Google travelers stay hungry and happy out there. May your day go well.

I’ve been coming here for years, moved back to Eugene recently and wanted to try it again. Usually we never eat out for Christmas but this year was a little different. It took them 2 hrs on the order but they were slammed with people. The food was well worth the wait. Please be nice to them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day they were doing a dang good job of getting orders out and didn’t deserve the hate they were getting! We will for sure be back on a normal less busy day.

Best Chinese food in Eugene! The seasoning they use in their mar far chicken is amazing. The food is always hot and fresh. I've never had a bad experience here. They have been around for over 50 years. They must be doing something right!

Lok Yuan is an odd place. It has okay prices, terrible appearance, great food, but it's the consistency that makes it a Eugene staple. Literally has been around Eugene for years, always on W 11th. Used to be next to Staples, little further east up the street. This is a place you take your buddies to talk about nonsense. A place you enjoy seeing the same people running and working the restaurant with the next generation doing the same. It is places like these you take for granted when they disappear, but I keep coming back, hoping that it will always be there. It's not transformative, it isn't incredible. It's something, though, you will miss when it's gone.

Salt and Pepper Chicken Lunch Special. With Pork Fried Rice, Two Fried Cheese Wontons, and a Spring Roll. Eggflower Soup. Inexpensive and very good. That Salt and Pepper Chicken has a delightful, almost unique flavor. Delivious - devilish and delicious. No, a typo. The rest of the meal was a shining example of American Chinese Cuisine. Older place, well kept. The employees were all gracious and professional. They knew every body coming through the door. I felt warmed on my insides by the familiarity of the lunch menu and the discovery of a new place to eat comfort foods. Thanks to my friends Curt and Susan. I will be back. Often.

Lok Yaun makes the BEST egg flower soup around! It is always hot and ready. Staff have always been polite & kind.
