Medway Lotus Restaurant

This is not your modern gourmet Chinese food. This is the old school New England style Chinese food that we grew up with. I have been coming here for over 40 years. When you sit at the bar, the other patrons instantly make you feel like family. There is definitely a regular crowd, however even if it's your first time you can join the conversation and everyone is friendly. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. The majority of the time you will see either Joe or his brother Tommy. Their dad is in the kitchen. You will notice money tacked to the ceiling, that gets donated to a kids cancer foundation. They are famous for their Mai Tai's and Scorpion Bowls! Joe worked hard to keep the prices down when all of the restaurant supplies went up. They still make the old school egg rolls with celery. I've always been a fan of their chicken wings, Peking raviolis, crab rangoons, beef and chicken teriyaki. Their lobster sauce is solid. In my mom's final days, the only thing she would eat was Medway Lotus lo mein. Within reason they will cater to your wishes and let you substitute an item. Some things might add a buck or two. Definitely not due to greed. They have well over 20 combinations on their luncheon menu. Karaoke on the weekends. The dining area is nicely decorated in Asian decor adding to the ambiance. The 5 stars really reflects the atmosphere, the owners and the patrons that really add to the experience. I want to comment that there's a review on here where someone wrote the workers had a language barrier. The family that owns and operates the restaurant speak perfect English. The owner was a waiter there before he bought it when I was growing up. It was an ignorant comment. If you want to take a step back in time, or if you want to go somewhere to feel comfortable and forget about the outside world for a little bit, check out the Medway Lotus! While sitting at the bar just be respectful and not a "buffoon" and you will have a great time!

Tiki Chinese/ New England Chinese at its best! Mini Peking raviolis, mai Thais, crab ragoons and more!! I don’t want to tell you about this place so I can keep it to myself! They don’t advertise because they don’t have to!!

Great Authentic Chinese Food, Food Is Fresh, Great Tasting & I Love There Rice, You Can't Find This Kind Of Rice In Other Returrants, either Have Loss There Touch But Not This Place, This Place Will Be a Guarantee Your Money & Food Quality Worth, Hope They Expand & Bring a Restaurant To Framingham , We Need It

My husband and I had gone there last night to have dinner and it was great I had gotten a love potion drink I had to take a picture of it and send it to my daughter. I recommend people to go there and have dinner with family it's wonderful! You will enjoy it. The people the food and the atmosphere!

Fast Service, Great Food, and Naughty Drinks. After moving to the area I was desperately looking for a Chinese restaurant where I could feel safe. A place that would treat me right, serve me goons on a platter, and deliver a bowl of duck sauce while I sucked down my Scorpion bowl. I may not know anyones name here but when I'm here, I'm home.

I stopped in to take a break from a long drive I was taking. The lounge was very dark (which I like). Only 4 bucks for a bottle of Bud. Bartender was very polite and the customers all seemed to be having a good time. Didn’t order food since I had somewhere to go. The smell was good coming from the kitchen. If I’m ever out this way again I will stop in for a longer stay and maybe a bite to eat.

The food is great and the atmosphere is great. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights is amazing. Fun for all.

Love this place. Good food at great prices. Always here on Christmas.
