this place isn't underrated... it's not even talked about or discussed enough among foodies. This place is a hidden gem of the foodie community. I've been coming here for a few years now and consistently juicy cuts and flavor never disappoints. The crispy pork is a much thinner skin than most chinese bbq spots but it's very flavorful and because of the thinner skin, the crisp, crisps more. The roast duck is one of my favorites, the bigger pieces is just dripping with flavor in every bite. the skinner pieces still has great flavor but no meat and all bones. The soya sauce chicken is extra juicy as well - personal preference I want a deeper soy flavor but over all still delicious. And the BBQ pork is juicy and flavorful as well. The lunch plates range from $12 - 16 depending on how many cuts you want - they aren't HEAPING portions but a very healthy and filling portion for one person to eat. Just to be able to not have to drive to Chinatown in Seattle or Tacoma for chinese bbq makes this place worth all the hype and a great reason to visit.

Friendly place with the best roast duck. You will be a roast duck snob if you try other places. Only problem is sometimes they're out if you go there too late. Then you might have to go down the street where they don't know how to cut a duck and it's not that good. If you do, at least grab some of Megastar's secret sauce as it helps!

Hidden gem, best roasted pork belly ever!!! Place opens at 10am on a Sunday and needs to be here early before they sell out. They don’t really do over the phone orders so have to be here in person. Family owned restaurant who loves to bbq and roast traditional Chinese meats.

I found Megastar from a local Seattle foodie. When I walked in the restaurant was empty, the window was lined with fresh whole duck, chicken and almost whole roasted pig. I ordered two combos both with roast pork and roast duck. The butcher came over promptly to chop the meats. The cashier made my take out containers filled with white rice and simple sautéed cabbage . The butcher then placed my cut meats on top of the cabbage and spooned some duck fat sauce on top of my rice. I also ordered two scallion oils. The cabbage, such an underrated vegetable. Sautéed just enough that it was tender but not mushy. A nice cleanser paired with fatty juicy meats. The juices from the meats flavored the cabbage just to give it an additional flavor. This is a great deal for your money. I believe it was $16 for the two bbq meat combo. Once I had placed my order the restaurant started to get really busy, people lining up already. The roast pork was juicy and fatty, yet the skin was nice and crispy. Very scrumptious. My favorite. The duck oozing with juicy flavors. Fatty and meaty. My second favorite. The scallion ginger oil compliments both meat well. Gives the meats an additional dimension of flavor , cutting through the fatty juices.

Happy Forth!!! I was craving duck today and decided to order a whole duck and some combo dishes. Peking duck was so yummy!!! I drive all the way from Puyallup to get these and it was well worth it!

Went again. This time I got 1 roasted duck, .8 lb of honey BBQ Pork and 1 lb of skin crispy roasted pork. Duck as usual not too strong on flavor which is great for those who prefer low sodium. Love their honey BBQ pork as always. Decided to get roasted pork. The butcher lady was very knowledgeable, she noticed it wasn't cook all the way on the part she first cut so she got me different part. So that's a plus on customer service part, however, it is quiet salty and it wasn't crispy enough. It is very hard to chew.

Legit Chinese bbq that you don't have to drive all the way into Seattle for! I got the two meat combo with bbq pork and roast duck, roast duck was amazing, juicy and very flavorful, the bbq pork was a little on the salty side but still very good. Friendly service too

We ordered the BBQ combo plates. The food was amazingly delicious, but strangely not heated. I figured it was due to them getting the kinks out from recently opening. I'll definitely be back to try them out soon. The restaurant was clean, server was very friendly, and the decor was nice too.
