The taste of home!! I shall return weekly for more nutrious , hydrating Cantonese soups Soup was my mom's love language Discovered this hole in the wall soup parlor on YouTube, instantly made a mental note to come check it out asap. I ordered the sea conch and chicken soup to dine in. There was plenty ingredients in a 24 oz jar; the broth was clear and fragrant. Just what my body called for in a cold and dry winter day. It warmed and hydrated tip to toe, instantly. Besides soups there are also a few steamed rice dish. I ordered the mushroom chicken and one extra coconut chicken soup to go. Both were well packaged and traveled well. There are many different soups to choose from daily, ranging from $9 to $14. Very good value for the quality and quantity. If I live close by I would prob come every two three days. *Having soup as pallets opener was common for Cantonese. Just like miso soup to Japanese. P.S. Xi Ne Du 係呢度 means "it is here" in Cantonese, just like "ici" in French ;) **Why or is special and Why you shall try it** Even though there are countless Chinese restaurants in NYC and borougha, there aren't many serve authentic Cantonese food not to mention specializing in steamed soup 燉湯 - the quintessential Cantonese cooking method where ingredients usually a mixed of herbs and protein e.g. dried scallops, are packed into tightly seal container and steamed till the essence are adequated from ingredients , fuses into a melody of nutrious broth.

A long overdue review, but this spot serves some of the most homestyle, simple Cantonese dishes and soups. Whenever I want something tasty, fresh, and light, this is one of my go-tos. It’s perfect for quick lunches or easy dinners. My favorite steamed rice is the pork patty with dried squid, and my favorite soups are the nourishing conch soup and their pear soup.

If you looking for the authentic Cantonese soups. This is the place. They know how to make the best soups. Different choices every day. They also have very nice steamed lunch boxes only for $8-$8.5 for 3 boxes separate packing of Rice/vegetable/meat.

ridiculous value, i ordered the B4 (chicken with mushroom) rice dish which was about $8. it was filling, tender, and flavorful. i can't think of anywhere besides shu jiao fu zhou that can compete in terms of stats for cost. soups are solid it seems they pivoted away from all day hong kong breakfast, i definitely think this was a solid decision as they are the only establishment filling their current niche

This small restaurant has authentic yummy Hong Kong style milk tea, so happy to find this by accident, I need a jug to take some home. It has stairs at entryway, 2 tables/stools & chairs with varied menu. Recommend, based on milk tea only.

Food is legit. Ordered one soup that’s supposed to be helpful for my gf’s period. It smelled right with Chinese herbal medicine. Space is a little tight inside though

Ever since the place opened I've liked it. Their dishes maintain excellence and the space is beautifully arranged. They provide good meals quickly at fair prices. The food delivers, and the ambiance enhances everything. The staff operates with clear expertise.

Walking up from the subway to this place made me so exhausted. Didn’t realise it has two tables only. Someone gave us her seat so I can recover. French toast is really Hong Kong style. The milk tea is better than a few other places that we have tried. I will try the rice dishes in the future.
