The food's pretty good and the people are nice. I usually get the hot sausage po boy and it's pretty good. I think the pricing is a little high, but I think that it's kind of generally average for the area. It's pretty good if you just want to go somewhere close by where you live and you don't want to go to a seedy part of town.
It sounds strange, but Danny & Clyde's has always had the best po-boys in New Orleans. I'd been gone almost twenty years, but this was one thing I was really looking forward to, and it didn't disappoint. Prices are a bit higher than I was expecting, but I can live with that.
My favorite is the ham and cheese poboy. The roast beef isn't bad but its not the best in NOLA. I find the price of the platters a little high for a gas station/ convenience store they are equal to many restaurant prices.
Good convenient location for gas in the morning on the way to work. If you dont pat at the pump, you can go inside and get a good breakfast sandwich. Or,if its lunchtime, you can get yourself a good fresh poboy. Service is always good, and the food is always fresh. Will return, and recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat.
I didn’t catch the women’s name this morning but around 9am there was a guy that received the wrong amount of change. And rather than politely asking for it or explain himself in a calmly manner he began to raise his voice and get a bit erratic. As he became more boisterous, the cashier called on her manager, she explained the situation and the manager investigated quickly. Finding the error, the women apologized and moved with efficiency to get the remaining customers, that were standing in line, out the door. It’s interesting to be on the opposite side of customer service and observing. Especially at a gas station. I often find that ppl don’t care, wherever they’re the customer or the seller. The women understood professionalism and they understood customer service, patience and grace; quite frankly. Lastly aside from this morning, the staff is always very friendly and the breakfast food is often on the fresher side whenever I do have it.
Awesome fresh food cooked and prepared to order. Poboys are amazing! Their shelves seem to be stocked frequently with fresh products and if your looking for fresh hot coffee or iced cold fountain drinks and warm smiles then this is your place. For a convenient store that has been here this long, their professional customer service should speak for itself. Keep up the good work guys!
The fried shrimp po-boys are excellent and are offered at a great value. From time to time, they will run a special on fried shrimp po-boys, $2.99 for a 6''. As always, the po-boys are fresh, overstuffed, and conform to the traditional New Orleans po-boy standard. The red beans and rice are excellent too and they are generous with their portions. Although the waiting is a bit excessive, it's worth it if you want a delicious po-boy at a great price. Danny and Clyde's has the best po-boys in the area in my opinion.
Great food very local experience even though it's a franchise gas station chain they do a great job trying to make you feel welcome. Would eat here for lunch regularly
