The food here is always very good. The style of cooking and dishes served have a true country flair. The restaurant is always busy any time I've been there. Usually between 10 am and 2 pm. However, if you have to wait for a seat inside, it is not more than 10 minutes. There is plenty of outside seating available on the covered porch. Inside has a good mis of tables and booths. I notice there are quite a few regular customers that eat there. The staff is friendly, the portions are good and the food is very tasty.
I recently visited Shirley's Restaurant at 746 E Duval St, in Lake City, FL. I enjoyed my meal of bacon, eggs, grits, and a biscuit. Well cooked as ordered. The service was very good and I enjoyed my time spent there. Worth a visit
Loved the lima beans! The greens weren't bad, but needed some vinegar from the Texas Pete to make them to my liking. The pork chops were outstanding, very juicy and flavorful. The restaurant is comfy and the staff is great.
My favorite mom and pop restaurant in Lake City!! You've definitely gotta go there! You won't be disappointed.

Great local restaurant, we went for breakfast it was delicious. Prices are great and portions were perfect. Coffee tasted great. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. Nice cozy restaurant with comfort food. We will definitely be back.
Definitely lives up to the reputation. The waitresses were attentive and very kind, and always made sure our coffee and waters were filled. The food was great and Definitely worth the short wait. We all got the big breakfast, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely be returning here very shortly!
This place is phenomenal! If you are from the south and used to meet up at Grandma's on Sunday afternoon for lunch, this place will jog some memories. Quaint spot just off the road. Ample parking is available. We ate in a Thursday around lunch. On the daily menu, they had meatloaf, grill or fried pork chops, country fried steak beef stroganoff, salmon patties, and one other item I can not remember. With each lunch entre, you get two vegetables. The only vegetable I saw missing on today's menu was fried okra. Our food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We were just driving through Lake City. We've never been to the town before but it would be worth it to drive here again to eat.
