Capri Deli has been on our list for over a year but we just visited recently as we were in the area! It's a little piece of Italy in the northern Suburbs. We visited on an early weekend afternoon and there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant. We ordered an Italian sub and a focaccia sandwich with a drink. The order was ready in about 2 minutes and the portions were HUGE. The Italian sub was absolutely delicious and was exactly what you would expect from an Italian sub. Nice, thick pieces of meat layered and thick slices of cheese too. It wasn't drenched in oil to the point where the bread was falling apart, it was the perfect amount. The focaccia with prosciutto came with provolone and other toppings and was also delicious. For the price, I don't know why you would ever go to a fast food sub restaurant. This is our go to spot in Palatine now.

I grew up with this staple in my life during the 80s and 90s. It was amazing to see that even after all this time it's still awesome food! The owners are friendly and will have a chat with you like true Chicagoans! The focaccia bread was stellar. The portions were awesome!

I’ve driven past Capri for years finally stopped in, now twice. Family owned with amazing people. I’ve had the Capri and Italian sub sandwich - both amazing. Fresh bread, fresh cold cuts, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onion and an amazing oil dressing. I honestly can’t wait for to try some other things. Staff is super friendly. It’s a must stop.

We've had this place a few times. It's good. Big slices of pizza, good fresh sandwiches. Good option to get away from the big chain sandwich spots. This time I had the 8 inch focaccia Capri special with Mayo, mustard and oils. Probably the best Italian sandwich I've ever had. I'm definitely going to have it again in the future. They get busy so be patient. Not the most efficient order process but if you expect to wait a bit it isn't so bad.

Had the meatball sub, the Capri Sanwich on Focaccia, some pizza, and the soup. Place was PHENOMENAL, and the team working there was so warm and inviting. Will absolutely be back to try the parm sandwich!

This place is awesome. The focaccia bread is amazing. Everything is super fresh and tasty. I haven't tried their pizza but absolutely love the sandwiches. We've gotten the Capri special and Italian sub on focaccia and it hits the spot. The folks in there are always super kind. Definitely one of the best sandwiches around.
