Got the chicken pesto two days in a row. Added avocado and cucumber and it was . Nice people. Great place to grab lunch and snacks before paying for expensive food at the SF zoo. Great for lunch at Ocean beach.
Had a good turkey bacon sandwich from here. Inside has lots of options for drinks, chips, desserts to pick from to go with your deli sandwich. Close to the beach so you can grab to go and enjoy on the sand. Easy park available along the street for grab and go.
I was surprised to find that this place has been here for 40 years and small wonder eswhy because the sandwiches are great and the prices were very reasonable. I paid $10.99 for a roast beef on a Dutch Crunch roll which is about the same price as a mundane Big Mac and ten times better.
4/5 for the tuna sandwich. Nothing special but I think it was worth the price. Staff were pretty friendly.
My wife and I were cruising around the city and we were looking for a great sandwich shop just like the ones I used to get when I lived in the city back in the eighties. We googled and found this place. Sandwiches are fantastic in my opinion but everyone has different taste. I would highly recommend this place next time you’re in the area if you want a great sandwich.
Perfect spot for a quick sandwich to go with a huge selection. Very reasonable prices and fresh ingredients. Grilled chicken, cheddar, and bacon. Chicken pesto. Jenny ( veggie). All on Dutch crunch bread. Service was very friendly.
I was taking Whiskey Pete the Albino to the zoo to visit his relatives ..they work there, and we decided to snag some sandwiches from George's Zoo before we got there, for a couple of reasons. The main reason is the Zoo Cafeteria doesn't know how to make anything other than a bad hotdog or an even worse PBJ plus they cost as much as a nice dinner out! The sandos from George's Zoo are pretty awesome, and very reasonably priced, every bit worth 5 stars!
Chicken sandwich was perfect! I will definitely comeback again
