It was great to have a traditional Dutch meal in this authentic restaurant, tucked away in a side street. The warm apple pie with ice cream and cream was a highlight and a great way to finish off the meal!

This restaurant is a hidden gem!! The food was authentic Dutch and absolutely delicious. Actually it is our favorite spot out of all the places we gone to have a meal. We are in Amsterdam a week, we’ve gone for dinner, have gone back another night for dessert, and intend to return for dinner one more time before we leave on Sunday. Be sure to stop in for a bite of something fabulous on their menu, you will most likely meet Akram and Katherine, they are friendly, they will greet you, and you will served with a smile. The place is very unique with vibes of that feeling of home. The hospitality was amazing and was more like a visit with friends rather than the ordinary dining experience at any other place we’ve been. Go on in, check it out..you won’t be sorry! I’m looking forward to one more wonderful dining experience before I return home..

So cute. So fantastic. This was such a find for our last and only true Dutch meal of the trip. Everything we ordered came out perfect!

Pretty little old restaurant. Staff so friendly and professional. Good Dutch food. Fantastic atmosphere. Good value for money.

Authentic Dutch food, served in an milenia old location. Had a pea soup to drive off the chill and rain. It still amazes me that the world's notorious spice traders, don't spice their own food...ever heard of salt and pepper?! Fair pricing for the location, and attentive service. Pop in and rest your legs...

We wanted to have a traditional Dutch meal so decided to visit. My fiancé has made me Stampot before (he is Dutch but lives in England so we had to modify it) so it was nice to have a true Dutch experience. Me and my mum had Stampot (me with sausage and her with meatball). My 2 children had the Chicken Schnitzel which they loved (I tried some and it was amazing). We also had the Appel Tart for desert which was lovely. The building is very quirky, which we loved. There was just something missing from the atmosphere which I can’t quite put my finger on. The waitress wasn’t quite as welcoming and happy as the waiter but it didn’t lessen our experience. One thing to note, if you have mobility issues you may struggle here, especially with getting to the toilet which is up some very narrow winding stairs.

We had some lovely food and were served by lovely people. A really great space and a must-visit spot!
