This was our first visit and will not be our last. If you are looking for a country home cooked breakfast, this is a must visit. The biscuits and gravy are homemade and so delicious. Everything we ordered was so good and freshly made. We will be back to try lunch.
Always a treat when on road trip thru Dunlap. A nice stop for good home cooking and friendly service. Just visited again 4/2025 and had the best meal ever! The vegetable plate was my choice, no meat, and it was so delicious! Incredible veggies and cornbread!
On golfing trip and stopped for breakfast here. The service was great. The service was fast and our breakfast was very good. The hash browns were crispy and not oily. Best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. The country ham and pancakes were also very good. The waitress was very prompt and attending to our needs. We will be back ! Thank you
Food was amazing. Best meal we've had on our trip. I had pinto beans, cornbread, fried okra, cole slaw, creamed potatoes (real potatoes and no peelings), husband had smoked chicken and it was divine. Yeast rolls were to die for. Great iced tea too. Reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.
So i tried the dunlap restaurant for the first time....and I got something to say Hands down, our new favorite spot is this sweet little Southern restaurant right here in town. My boyfriend and I went for breakfast yesterday morning, and honeyyyyy… it felt like a warm grandma’s hug wrapped up in biscuits and coffee. We got to sit, sip our coffee slow, eat a good country breakfast, and just be for a minute. No rushing, no feeling like we needed to hurry up and turn the table just peace. And Lord knows we needed that. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Checked on us just enough, not too much, and every time our coffee cups got low, they were right there filling them back up same for everyone else. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. It wasn’t just breakfast. It was comfort. It was kindness. It was that true Southern “make yourself at home” feeling. We’ll definitely be back.
Wonderful menu_ All of the Southern comfort favs! Desserts change daily. Had the peach pie and as a Georgia gal_ it was PEACHY Highly recommend!
Breakfast or brunch is always awesome. This is a historic restaurant owned and managed by a family. The building itself is older, but that adds to the character and nostalgia. They stay pretty busy. They are worth the wait. They offer a variety of Southern classics. Their biscuits and home fries are homemade. Their chicken is hand battered and seasoned. They have some of the friendliest folks working there. Please be kind and patient if you go on a busy day. This is one of the places that haven’t increased their prices. They are reasonably priced and decent portions.
Once again looking for the small local eatery. We came across this place. Small quaint ran total old-school until checking out. The only time a computer takes over. We both had the breakfast with eggs, country ham, me Hash browns, my wife biscuits and gravy. WOW did they take something that simple and knock it out of the park. Got to love the added building heat source!!
