Super friendly guys took our order and immediately plated our food from their hot bar. Our sandwiches were delicious and very reasonably priced. Charming old fashioned atmosphere. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!
The atmosphere is old school and is a quiet quaint place. It has comfort food with the bar full of condiments to dress your sandwich how ever you please. The chili was awesome. It, with some onions and cheese on top of my fries, was great. The pie was sweet to and reminds me of Americana diner pies. The service is fast and great. This place is a nice little treat to frequent.
Wonderful little place , owner was incredibly nice food was already made and hott, I got the chicken dumplings over mashed potatos and it was incredible. Going back Monday for the roast beef hotshots
Pork Tenrloin and bean soup on a snowy day. Delicious
Good food at a fair price. Fast friendly service. Lots of seating. You can also enjoy a cold beer with your meal. Definitely need to check this place out.
This place is great. Joe told me "Our food passes our taste test first. We only serve what we would eat."
I love old-school local spots! Great pork tenderloin sandwich. He handed it to me plain and I dressed it with lettuce, onions, tomato, and mayo. Amazing homemade chicken n dumplings(my favorite comfort food!). Bar seating. Chicken noodle soup was great. Great service! I was there 2-3pm so it was pretty empty. I don't know how seating is during lunch/dinner.
Falb's in Dayton: A Delicious Blast from the Past with Unbeatable Prices & Service! Stepping into Falb's Restaurant in Dayton is like taking a delightful trip back in time, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. From the moment you walk in, everything – the decor, the prices, and especially the staff – evokes a wonderful sense of nostalgia. But don't let the retro charm fool you into thinking the quality is dated. The food here was absolutely phenomenal. Seriously, it was outstanding – delicious, satisfying, and clearly prepared with care. It's the kind of comforting, well-executed food that makes you feel good. What makes Falb's truly remarkable in today's world are the prices. They are almost unbelievably low for the quality you receive. To give you a concrete example, the phenomenal meal I enjoyed cost only $8.76! Finding prices like that, which feel like they belong to a bygone decade, for such fantastic quality food is simply unheard of today. It's an incredible value that makes the dining experience even better. Perhaps the most memorable part of the experience, though, was the staff. Calling them friendly is an understatement. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and exuded a genuine warmth that you seldom encounter anymore – the kind of hospitality you might only expect to see idealized in old movies. They truly make you feel valued as a customer. If you're in Dayton and looking for a fantastic meal that offers incredible value (seriously, $8.75 for a meal!), served by some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, Falb's is an absolute must-visit. It's a refreshing reminder of how great simple, well-done dining with genuine hospitality can be. Highly recommended!
