Food was great, service was stellar. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I was in town from Ohio and did a quick google search for “mom and pop restaurants near me” and GoodWil’s popped up. I read through the most recent reviews and looked at the menu and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! Upon arrival, I noticed it was very busy! That is a good sign that it is going to be good. Got one of the last parking spots and headed inside. You seat yourself here so we scanned the place and saw that the only available spot was at the counter. No biggie even though I am not a fan of having my back the the rest of the restaurant. To my surprise, it didn’t feel bad! I was very at ease. The atmosphere was very welcoming and pleasant. We looked over the menu and that specials and I had a very hard time deciding! I ended up with the chicken Philly sandwich with fries. The soup of the day was broccoli and cheddar so I had to get my favorite soup! We did have a bit of a wait for our food but that is to be expected with how busy it was in there. The food arrived and immediately I was impressed. You could tell it was homemade just by looks. Oooo and the smell everything was so good! We found out it was the day of their 40th anniversary so you get a free scoop of ice cream it was also very good I got to speak with the owner and in one conversation I could tell why his place was so successful! He has the passion for what he does. He is a very kind gentleman. He gave all of his credit for success to his employees. You can tell he really cares about his employees. That is hard to find these days! We bought some of their homemade peanut butter cookies on the way out. They had a variety of desserts to choose from! I love to support small businesses and I will definitely be stopping back in their when I am in the area again
Great food great service and atmosphere and great pricing. Has become my regular breakfast spot.
Food was good. Service was great and prompt. Portion sizes were great for what I paid. I really enjoyed that my bacon was crispy. I like crispy bacon and I didn't even have to request it that way. I will definitely return if I'm in the area.
Not bad at all. The gravy had a unique flavor & wasn't half bad. Oatmeal was decent & the home fries were good as well. I comeback through my travels again.
Plenty of time to sit and catch up on a cozy environment. The wait staff was patient while we talked and ordered and the food was delicious!! I encourage anyone to stop and enjoy!!!
Got Root beer as a drink. They serve coke products. The ruben sandwich as the main meal which consisted of corned beef, thousand island dressing, and sauerkraut on rye bread. The corned beef was less processed than I'm used to as I could actually tell it was beef which was a nice change. It came with two dill pickles on the side and sweet potato fries accompanied by a cinnamon shaker and marshmallow dipping sauce on the side as well which was suggested by the waitress. Speaking of which the staff here was great, personable, and friendly!
We love eating here. The food is consistent, and the waitstaff is personable and efficient.
