The perfect homemade comfort food place with a laid back family feel from generations past. We had the chicken fried chicken special with chicken noodle soup, and a generous portion of real mashed potatoes and gravy, and the chopped sirloin special. The staff was very welcoming and attentive but let us eat at our own pace. If you've never been here or miss those Sunday family dinners from your childhood, this place is a must! And ask about the homemade pies for dessert or to go.
We stopped in SC for the night on our way home. Stopped here for breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Fast, friendly service, standard breakfast choices. I had the 3 egg bacon and cheese omelette and my husband had strawberry French toast. Food was very tasty!! There were a lot of regulars which is always a plus to see.
Great value for a home style meal. A very authentic feel. Service was top notch. Scattered kitsch, which I found endearing and adding to its authenticity.
Yummo! Love it when a traditional old school diner serves up the comfort food you want. We had breakfast and all the food was great. Special thanks for doing crispy hashbrowns exactly as we both ordered. Big portions! They were busy and we lacked nothing in service. Always full beverages. Quick removal of empty dishes. Couple of check ins during our feast. $38 for 2 giant breakfasts plus coffee and pop. Super value!

If you like food and great service this is a must go to place. It reminds me of the old time dinners with great food and reasonable prices. I stopped on Saturday as the young grandkids told me it was great! Then stopped Monday before leaving town, great both times! Staff very friendly and they serve you fairly quickly even when packed! Overall great place, I will definitely be back. This beats the big chains hands down! Great job!
So accommodating at closing time on a Saturday night. Such a friendly staff even at the end of a shift. Club sandwich and pie were delicious. Will definitely make a return visit.
