Mabel B'z Diner

This little diner is snug, clean, and inviting—a perfect spot for a quick bite during your road trip. The food was fantastic and fresh. I went for the breakfast burrito with green chile and pancakes, both were excellent choices!

This is a fantastic example of a New Mexican diner. The staff is extremely friendly, and the record scratch/people staring because you're not local is a very brief experience. Once you're past that, hang on! It's awesome. We had dinner one night, like it so much went back for breakfast the next day! Food is prepared fresh, everything was great, and the waitresses on both shifts were delightful.

My family and I were driving through when we stopped here and the customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive, didn't let the drinks go empty and for all the food being made fresh it didn't take very long. The fries were delish and so were the chicken flautas :)

This place is a hidden gem. We split a grizzly burger and fries and were both stuffed when we finished. It was excellent! Fresh homemade salsa and green chili was a bonus. All the dishes for other patrons looked tasty with generous servings. Our waitress really hustled to handle all the guests while being congenial at the same time. We'll definitely return next time we are in the area.

This little diner is awesome! Mabel B'z far exceeded any expectations that we had. I loved hearing the story of how the brother and sister co-owners started the business in honor of their mom. We decided to order the badlands burger and split it! Man, that thing is a monster! It was super delicious... but we couldn't finish it. The cheese sticks were really delicious. They had a bear batter texture and taste. The salsa was really delicious and flavorful. The banana split was the best one we have ever had anywhere, by far. We will definitely be back. I've gotta try breakfast next time.

We were traveling through and even though we like to stop and support the small local places, you’re just never sure! I got the double hamburger because I expected regular sized small Patties but they were huge . The waitress was great, it’s exactly what you love to see when you stop and get that small town feel ! The price was a very good value for how much food you get !

05/22/25- Stopped to grab lunch after camping nearby and this place deserves 10 stars! Our server was so wonderful and she makes the green chili in house from her mom’s recipe! The food was terrific, large, flavorful portions and great prices. We were just wowed by this restaurant and talked about it for miles down the road.

Our waitress was on top of everything! She got our drink and food orders quickly, made time for just enough small talk that everyone dining in felt seen and yet no one seemed to feel their orders were taking too long. The food was just as we ordered on every dish. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
