This place has the best chicken in town!!! KFC doesn't stand a chance against Our Sons family Restaurant period. I mean dont get me wrong I do like me a little KFC, But come on now you wouldn't rather eat a home cooked meal? Ever since KFC changed the mashed potato recipe it hasn't been the same. Plus the atmosphere here is way better than any KFC!!! I've ordered their fried chicken and mashed potatoes and it was a blessing. Yeah sometimes you have to wait a lil bit and yeah sometimes they mess your order up but hey who dosen't in the restaurant business?? And when they do people complain like fools nobody's perfect. I would absolutely recommend this place. There's a reason they have been around Johnstown forever, while everyone only lasts a few years
Enjoyed breakfast, homemade bread is FANTASTIC and gobs were very good. Reasonable prices and good service. Can't wait to try their fried chicken I hear they are famous for.
Stopped for breakfast at Our Sons’ while passing through town. Cozy atmosphere where the regulars walk in and the waitress already knows what they want without even saying a word. Although we were unfamiliar faces, the waitress and regulars were welcoming and the food was incredible. Definitely worth a visit if you’re the kind of person that likes good breakfast food.
It was a very nice place great food pleasant people
A nice local neighborhood restaurant. The most outstanding feature is their homemade bread and their fried chicken! They are well known for their chicken. As you leave the establishment there are always wonderful gobs available for purchase on your way out. There are two different sizes. One is $3.50 for the large one pictured and a slightly smaller one for $2.50. All of the waitresses are very friendly.
I wish I’d found this place sooner! Atmosphere is great — everyone is so friendly, and our waitress is always fun and joking around with us. I love the building — it has old-world diner vibes, and good sconce lighting in the back room. The prices are great for the good quality. The fried chicken is juicy and delicious! Most breakfast spots in Johnstown close early, so this place is a lifesaver after long church days.
It was very busy, so it took a while to get my food, understandably. But it was well worth the wait.
Great family owned restaurant that serves some of the best breakfast you'll ever have. For a reasonable price and breakfast served with a smile you can't beat the cost of the food. If you find yourself in the area make sure to stop in. They also have lunch and dinner options as well which I'm sure are also very good.
