Smitty's Family Restaurant - Cochrane

I hadn't been to a Smitty's for quite a long time, and it was just as I remembered. Cozy country feel on the inside. A friendly, helpful waitress. Good food and quick service. I arrived early for breakfast, and there was plenty of seating. Wheelchair parking is right out the front.

What amazing service! The owners are working the restaurant nearly every time I'm here and they are so personable and service is exceptional. The food is the standard Smitty's menu but you can tell that they care about how its prepared. It doesn't have that "crank it out of the kitchen" flavour. There is a trendy new breakfast place called Stacked and I would choose breakfast here any day. Give it a try!

We've eaten here many times in the past, and as recently as last week. The food quality remains the same, service is seemingly lacking due to short staffing. But that will not stop us from eating here while in town. Pleasant waitress, and the food is well prepared, and served with a smile ! We will be back !

The server was so sweet to me and my friends and she made sure we had everything, the food was really yummy, overall we all really enjoyed!!

My husband and I made a rare trip to Cochrane today and decided to stop at smitties for a nice meal out. Oh my gosh the place was packed, mostly with kids and their guardians. There was some sort of promotion on. To made matters hard for everyone,, we didn't want that special we wanted to order off the menu (sorry). Well the service was fantastic, the food was exactly what we wanted. The servers continually apologized for the slow (?) service. You all did a wonderful job! Thank you

Face it. Smittys is not a five star restaurant but, for what it is, it definitely gets full marks. In other words, it's a really good family restaurant. My wife and I go there fairly often and it's always worth the trip from Calgary. Friendly staff and owner, easy parking and reasonable prices. We love it. Don

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was fresh, well prepared, and tasted like home. We ate there several times during our visit to Cochrane and Calgary. We had salads and skillets and tasty deserts. Everything was wonderful. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, the staff was prompt and attentive. This is a great restaurant for families, travelers, or business folks. We found the atmosphere restful and relaxing at the end of our day. We were greeted by the management, who made us feel welcome as family and at home.

Went on Christmas Eve morning. The woman who served us was so pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. Exactly how it should be made.
