I was passing by Dansville and had a lovely time here! The food we ordered was delicious: Not too salty, not too greasy, and everything was great. The server Sabrina(or Breana, sorry if i'm wrong) was kind and caring. :) I can see that this place is already loved by locals, and I would recommend this place to travelers.
Visiting all the way from Norfolk, Virginia. This was my grandfathers favorite restaurant. I had the fresh haddock with fries & potato salad. Great staff, atmosphere and food! Highly recommend if ever in the area.
Prompt friendly service from the server with a smile. Steak and cheese with fries came out promptly and hot. Food was typical of what you would expect of a diner or family restaurant, Good. Pricing was reasonable, good value for the price.
Had great service, but our food was a let down. I couldn't quite put my finger on the situation with my chicken sandwich... Frozen or Fake. Maybe sandwiches aren't their specialty. Prices seem reasonable until you have to pay another $2 for a side to go with your sandwich.
Natalie was fabulous! Food was very good not greasy or overcooked. Fast and their home-made pies were the balm.
A nice clean and friendly diner located on Main street in Dansville NY. My order was started with the beef noodle soup which if available on menu I highly reccomend. The beef noodle consisted of a home made broth with plenty of noodles and veggies. Entree of choice was the broiled fish which came with a dinner roll. The two sides I chose was the house salad and soup. The broiled lemon pepper fish had a nice crust and the fish was flaky and moist. Side salad was fresh and large. Sunrise has a web site for convenience which has the hours of operation menu items along with learning more about tge restaurant.
Ive been here while on my delivery route a couple of times now. The employees are very kind, the waits have been very short, and the food has been great. Definitely the perfect definition of a small time family diner. Keep up the good work!
Hometown dining. A dog rescue brought me to the local vet in Dansville and while I waited I ate at the Sunrise Restaurant which I picked from other Google reviews! The hometown environment was definitely reinforced when I heard the guys at the counter joking with the waitress that they had texted her. My sausage biscuits and gravy was scrumptious. I asked for my eggs a very specific way and they nailed it. Since I had lots of time on my hands I stayed for something sweet. The chocolate cream pie is outstanding! The pie crust was the best I’ve had in years. I’m hoping to come here again.
