Le Cartet was the perfect breakfast spot to kick off the day, especially on the morning of New Year’s. Great atmosphere, relaxed but polished, and exactly the kind of place you want to start the day without feeling rushed. The food was excellent across the board, with a menu that works equally well for adults and kids—which isn’t always easy to find. The Nordic menu option was the standout for me and absolutely worth ordering. Everything we had was well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, and efficient without hovering. Easy place to recommend and one we’ll definitely return to next time we’re in Montreal.
Consistently amazing experience with cozy and friendly atmosphere, delicious food and great people! Great job guys, well done come every time we’re in Montreal and will be back again! Specialty Coffees are so good, this time I tried Peppermint mocha and salted caramel latte, both were the best!
While the food here is decent, the bustling tourist district comes at a premium, reflected not just in the prices but in the experience. The toast served with Canton was not warm and soft, and the avocado on toast, pre-packaged rather than freshly mashed, fell short of expectations. Despite these, the charming ambiance of the place still manages to make the visit worthwhile.
They have outdoor seating, and I was able to bring my puppy with me, which was great. The staff even brought out a big bottle of water for him, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend trying their signature maple latte—it’s absolutely delicious—and the maple pulled pork sandwich, which was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful, the people are very kind, and you even get unlimited coffee refills.
Nice warm place to meet up for brunch. Food was good, and so was service. I really liked my cappuccino — plate was tasty and fruits were fresh and juicy.
Nice resto with a lively atmosphere and good food. The brunch options are tasty and portions are generous. Service can get a bit busy on weekends, but overall it’s a solid place and worth visiting .
Overall, an amazing restaurant for breakfast. The prices felt slightly higher than most other places however the quality was AMAZING. The portion sizes were good, we attended several times over our visit. I would recommend
I got salmon tartar for Tartare de jour, and it was really good! Staff were very welcoming and kind too. Looking for affordable french cuisine place? I would recommend this place for the start.
