This place serves authentic food of Fuzhou, China. Most food are small tasty dishes. However you can also order few larger dishes off the menu. The cost is very reasonable.

First of all, I want to mention that I was born and raised in Houston, with Latino roots. I've been looking to try something new, so I've been hopping from one restaurant to another in search of a hidden gem. I found this restaurant on Maps and decided to give it a try, despite not knowing anything about the cuisine or the language. But that didn’t stop me from wanting to enjoy lunch. As soon as I arrived, I knew I had found the right place because it had an old-fashioned look, which usually signals great food. When it came time to order, I was making guesses based on the pictures, as most of the menu was in Chinese. I decided to order something called braised octopus because it looked good in the image. However, the server asked me several times if I was sure about my choice. They tried to explain why it might not be a good idea, but their accent made it hard to understand. Ultimately, I decided to go with something else because I felt like only people who are familiar with the cuisine truly know how to appreciate it. This is not a bad review—the food was actually delicious, and the flavors were on point. I might go back, but I chose to eat in my car because I didn't want to feel out of place, especially since it’s an Asian-centered establishment and I only speak Spanish and English. If any friends want to join me on another visit and can help me better understand the culture, I would love that!

No-frills restaurant offering authentic Fuzhou cuisine at reasonable prices. Clean dining room, great food and wonderful customer service. Our favorites were the flat meat wontons, yanwan wontons, peanut noodles, fried oyster cake, and the fresh meat lantern balls. Will definitely be back!

Our family met here for weekend reunion. We ordered 6 dishes. Most dishes came with small portions but delicious and we finished them all.

First time try 福州 food. We had a light lunch with ordering only flat meat, niuhualaohua, and all kinds of oyster pies. The service is good and food came really quick. Kids liked the flat meat and pies with drizzling vinegar. Adults enjoyed niuhualaohua. We were all amazed how tasty the wonton like flat meat and how tender the beef in niuhualaohua! Great experience and food adventures! Recommend this place and will come back for sure!

Want some good food early in the morning, found this place. It was 9am and I am the first one. Got the oyster cake, fried dumplings, a side soup, then a beef offals noodle soup. Oyster cake is awesome and beef offals soup is very good if you are into that. Next time will try the stewed pot. It would take 40 minutes to cook so If you want it, just know you will need to wait that long, but I haven’t found any place doing these kinds of stewed pot. Update: I got a lamb soup, oyster cakes, leek&pork dumplings, pork belly with bamboo shoots. These are very good but they are acquired taste. The lamb soup is really good but it had the Chinese medicine taste so it may not for everyone. Same as the pork & bamboo shoots. But the oyster cakes are really good. I order extra to take it to go. The leek dumplings fillings are good but the wrapper is thick so I don’t like it as much. But I had been here 3 times in the last couple weeks. When I head to Chinatown, I keep thinking about these oyster cakes and the soup and tends to head to this place… Update: Came back to day since I want some soup and the herbal soup is excellent. It didn’t take long since I was there at 9am and may be they make the process faster than before. Only about 10 minutes wait for the soup. The fish ball soup, fried oyster cake and the taro cake are also good. I just feel like I am back in Asia with these foods.
