So I put a 3 for atmosphere, but that's just because it is a food truck. Yeah, don't come here to eat here. The halal food here is absolutely delicious. It's the best I've had in NYC. If you're hungry and in the Astoria area just drop on by. And, the guy who serves there is just a great guy. Much love to you brother. You are doing a great job.
Great platter, nicely seasoned chicken & lamb, it's $12 because he literally PACKS the container with to the brim with meat & 2 falafels (fresh & crispy!). Even the plastic lid was struggling to close
This halal cart is my go-to spot, and I can’t get enough of it! The food is packed with flavor, and it’s easily the best value for money around. The chicken is always perfectly seasoned—juicy, tender, and bursting with spices that make every bite irresistible. What really sets this place apart is the generous portions. You get so much deliciousness on your plate that it’s hard to believe how affordable it is. It’s a truly satisfying and fulfilling meal that keeps me coming back again and again. Plus, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel personal and inviting. I’ve tried plenty of places, but this halal cart has a special place in my heart—and my stomach! Highly recommend for anyone who loves flavorful, hearty meals that hit the spot every time.
Probably the best Halal food on Broadway. He is reasonable, friendly, and most importantly, the food is incredible! He even gives you a couple falafels while you wait! The only thing is that you have to catch him because he’s not there all the time.
Super delicious food and even better service! I was walking back home today and decided to stop by for a quick bite to go. He recommended me different options on the menu and I decided on the lamb over rice. My pictures are not great but the taste was phenomenal. Rice was super aromatic, the lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The falafel was the true star of the show though, SO fresh. He gave me one extra to try while I waited and also gave me an extra bag after seeing me struggling to carry everything + my groceries, making this little stop a nice and wholesome part of my day. I’m very thankful and very full
Loved the food!! A MUST TRY for anyone!! I had the chicken+rice+salad+white sauce+hot sauce combo and it was AMAZING!! I am from Florida and never had anything like this ever there especially for the price. The food was delicious, clean and cheap too and made me full for the rest of the day. Infact, I liked it so much that I had it twice in the same day since I was in NYC only for a day and didn’t want to miss it. The owner was an amazing guy and he was generous enough to give me Falafel too. The way he talked showed his passion for food. Loved it! I wish we had this in South Florida too.
This is the best halala food I’ve had at Astoria and at very reasonable prices. The owner is one of the nicest, hard working people I’ve met and he always blessed with big portions. Go check it out while you’re on Broadway!
I absolutely love this spot on 29th and Broadway in Astoria. Extremely affordable, delicious, the falafel especially is top tier. Must try!
