Always delicious and everyone is always friendly. Cute little diner in New Hope with the BEST cheeseburgers and milkshakes!
Traveled twenty minutes from work for lunch here with some colleagues while visiting their site just because it seemed authentic. It was. I Loved this little place.
My mother loves this place, she has me drive her 32 miles just to get her the patty melt. I can honestly say this place has the best patty melt in the entire south..
I ordered the cheeseburger "flat" with mustard and onions only, cooked the old fashion way, on a grill, very good. Partner ordered two corn dogs. They must have been very good, he ate both of them. There was only one car in the parking lot, don't let that fool you, they were very busy with take out orders. Highly recommend!
This place has been open since the late 50's or early 60's. The food is cooked in front of you and it's always delicious. It's a small place but it's big on return customers.
They don’t use precooked bacon, which is good. I got a cheeseburger with no tomato, no pickle, & no mustard, as ordered. It was good! I also got a peanut butter milkshake. I ordered a medium, but the server accidentally made too much, so I wound up getting a large for the price of a medium. It was really good!! However, it was a bit of a wait, which I suppose was understandable. (I should’ve asked for a slice of onion on that burger, tho.) Overall, everything was good! It’s too bad they’ve done away with most (tho not all) of the seating, not including the stools. At least they have a long bench to sit on while you wait for your food!
Service is really southern hospitality. Food is great its just my burger is not well dine, I should just ask. Overall us great and reasonable price
Took my mom here for a treat a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! This little dairy bar has been open a long time. I wanna say it's been since the 50s, but I don't remember for sure. Super small little building in the center of New Hope; it's on the Main Street but still kind of easy to miss as it's just not super conspicuous. There are two metal picnic tables on the side of the building and one small table inside, so it's mostly grab and go. Very limited parking too, though the church across the street might not take offense if you parked there and walked over. Anyway, we walked in and were greeted by the friendly, hard-working employees. You'll find standard dairy bar offerings here: burgers, fries and onion rings, soft serve ice cream, etc. We both got a hamburger and fries and then split a small vanilla hot fudge sundae for our treat. Our food came out quickly but was freshly made -- I'd know, since I got to watch from the bar while we waited! The fries are frozen and then fried but they were at least fried fresh and salted correctly. They also have "Dot's sauce," their take on comeback/mayochup sauce, which was lightly peppery, a little sweet, and excellent with the fries. The burgers and sundaes are the shining stars here, though. Smallish and simple burgers but very fairly priced and a delicious beefy flavor. Simple storebought buns but it doesn't matter when the meat is so tasty. The sundae was smooth and creamy and delightful, with the perfect ratio of toppings. We had a lovely time soaking in the sunshine at one of the picnic tables. Certainly give them a try if you're in the area and craving a homemade burger. They do a brisk carryout business.
