"My favorite dawg" is really good. Fast and friendly service.
My husband and I happened on this place today while we were out looking for some lunch. We both got chili dogs and split some cheese fries. If you remember Velvet Freeze in Peoria from the "old days" this is the place for you. The food was great, Chris's shake was perfect and the people were super nice. Thumbs up from both of us.
Super awesome people who work there, very fast and friendly service. The dogs are just simply delicious. The meat sauce they use is excellent. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.
Wonderful little eatery tucked right behind the subway in peoria heights. The employees are always happy and eager to serve. Great quality hot dogs and tenderloins. Nice old diner style feel. Very clean too!
Stopped in on a whim. Saw the place as I drove by. Pretty clean lots of walk decorations. Quite at lunch. Quick service. Extensive menu. Recommend for quick bite. Multiple tables little counter looking out the building. has a drive thru window.
Great hot dogs! I always get the Chicago Dog. It's just a small place, nothing fancy! You order & pick up in front. No wait staff. We got our food quickly!
Some really really good Dawgs! Staff is friendly and lots of different food to chose from. They also have desert. Plus you can get your own refills. Great place to grab some good food and they have a drive thru, plus a really cool dine in area with lots of old signs, history and pictures. Give them a try you’ll like it.

Boiled dogs with steamed buns. The meat sauce is reminiscent of the old Velvet Freeze Wonder dogs. Very good dogs. They also have tamales and other sandwiches, but I have only ordered the dogs. I look forward to hitting the Other Dawg when I am in the Heights. They have daily specials, which usually include fries and a soft drink. The service is quick, as long as there are not too many other customers. Parking is tight. The location is behind the Subway on Prospect so it is easy to miss the Other Dawg if you don't know it is there.
