Nice and funny staff, great ice cream and wide selection. Small hot fudge Sunday was great. So was the bubble gum flavor Burst.

We found our new favorite ice cream spot! Took my two boys for the first time and we’re officially obsessed. The flavors were amazing, and the staff was super friendly and patient, even with some serious flavor indecision happening. We’ll definitely be back… possibly later today. 10/10, highly recommend!

Kool Moo under the new ownership is fantastic! High quality soft serve and dole whip for the dairy free or vegan folks out there, and excellent service. Even when busy they are well staffed so it’s only a short wait!

Another great, locally-owned business unique to Cedar Rapids. A bit quieter than Parlor City since there’s no drive-thru option. The favorburst cones are unique — they’re a flavored, brightly colored twist cone that I’ve not seen anywhere else. And there are some unusual options for concrete mixers (called Avalanches) including monster cookie, Rice Krispies, and crunch berry. I didn’t try it, but the menu also includes a dairy-free ice cream option called a Dole Whip. This is a business that clearly is trying new things and puts the customer first. Highly recommend!

Showed up when they opened yesterday. There's ongoing construction so keep that in mind when locating/parking. The lady at the window was super nice and accommodating. They must have a lot of people want to try everything because she mixed whatever I wanted. Tried a medium flavorburst on a cone with all of the flavors. It was absolutely delicious!!! I've been craving a flavorburst for a long time but most places I travel to don't have them. Makes me feel like a kid again. I don't even really like ice cream but this stuff just tastes so good and brings back so many good memories! It melted pretty quickly so it was funky-looking by the time I took a picture but every bite brought me joy! I also tried the Dole Whip in all 3 flavors. My first experience with Dole Whip was at Disney World. Must say, I do like the raspberry the best! Wish I was still working in Cedar Rapids so I could have the flavorburst all the time...

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop for a sweet treat based on reviews. Are we glad we did. The service was excellent and fast, and the ice cream was out of this world. Even more pleasing was the affordable prices on their menu. We'll be back when we visit the area again.

The Kool Moo is THE spot for delicious sweet treats! Fast and friendly service every time we visit! I'm obsessed with the Dole whip. They always have pineapple and the other flavors vary. You can even get a twist of Dole Whip with two different flavors! I tried Mango and Raspberry, whoa! So good! I have been coming to the Kool Moo since I was little, so it holds a special place in my heart, and the new ownership has made many improvements on a classic. Thank you, and keep up it!!

Other ice cream places, takes notes. Kool-Moo HOOKS IT UP!!! My cookie dough avalanche had SO much cookie dough. Cookie dough in every bite. This is how you do it. Two solid thumbs up
