Description Viva Cocina

Viva Cocina, located at 3618 Aldine Mail Rte Rd in Houston, offers a flavorful Indian menu with Goan influences alongside Indo-Chinese favorites. The selection ranges from crispy starters and richly spiced curries to seafood, biryani, Hakka noodles, fried rice, naan, refreshing lime soda, badam milk, and traditional sweets. Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Chicken Lollipop, and Mutton Biryani are among the menu’s strongest crowd-pleasers, while specialties such as Chicken Xacuti and Fish Curry Ambotik bring deeper coastal flavors. Prices generally offer approachable value, with substantial curries and rice dishes suited to individual meals or sharing. Freshly cooked meats, seafood, aromatic spices, creamy sauces, and contrasting tangy or spicy notes give the food plenty of character. Vegetarian choices such as Paneer Makhani and Veg Fried Rice broaden the selection, although diners requiring strictly gluten-free meals should confirm preparation details. Mild rice, naan, and creamy curries can also work well for younger diners. With evening-focused service, the menu is best suited to dinner, late-night meals, takeout, and relaxed group dining rather than breakfast.

Mutton Biryani
Aromatic rice and savory mutton combine with layered spices for a hearty, fragrant dish. Its generous character makes it particularly satisfying as a complete meal.

Butter Chicken
Tender chicken in a smooth, buttery curry offers mellow spice and creamy richness. Pairing it with fresh naan makes for a classic, comforting choice.

Chicken Xacuti
This Goan-style chicken curry delivers deeper, more complex spice than the familiar creamy curries. Its aromatic profile makes it a distinctive option for adventurous diners.

Fish Curry Ambotik
Fish is paired with a tangy, spicy Goan-inspired curry that balances savory seafood with lively acidity and heat. It stands out among the restaurant’s seafood selections.

Chicken Hakka Noodles
Stir-fried noodles and chicken create a savory, satisfying Indo-Chinese favorite with a pleasantly chewy texture. It is a versatile choice for diners wanting something beyond tra

I ordered the garlic and cheese naan and the chicken 65 and let me tell you both items were full of flavor! 10/10 all across the board! Services was so kind, they shared information and background on their foods and drinks! Got to learn about some home town delicacies which how doesn’t that make the experience that much more better?! The atmosphere was definitely serving the right vibes!!! I mean… Again, 10/10 on food, atmosphere and service! WILL be coming back soon!!! I also noticed a lot of to-go orders being made and picked up so you know they’re doing something right! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Authentic Goan Food ! This place is a gem coz the food is just so delicious The taste the quantity and specially the price is unbeatable to other competitive restaurants! Plus point is that this place is Halal if I’m not mistaken!! You can do hookah, have drinks and yes they have music going on too ! Also they have couple of game machines just for fun measures! The best dish was the chicken lollipop! And the rest were good too! I dropped down one star only coz of appearance and also the restroom is not a safe place as you can see in the picture! Also this place is open till 2am

Wow! Just wow!! My first taste of butter chicken was on a cruise recently. Viva’s butter chicken far surpassed it. It was beyond delicious, and the cheesy naan bread was great and even better when used to scoop up the butter chicken sauce. The service was great, and the server even shared some Indian history along with history of the restaurant. I can’t way to return and try other Indian dishes.
